Had to run the water in the tub for ten minutes to clear the gunk that came out. We stay in Morton a few times a year for family visits, this was our first time to try the Best Western. The lobby area was fine, quite large and bare. The clerk was having problems with their registration system but did find our reservation and checked us manually so we didn't have to wait. We are local and went to the Ashland House Conference Center for a Mothers Day brunch. They apparently had '3 seatings' for brunch and we were in the last. I have reluctantly stayed at the Ashland House 4 times while visiting the East Peoria in-laws, simply because it's (relatively) new and conveniently located, but I'll never do it again. The place is dreary and depressing, with bad lighting and Motel 6 linens. The toilet seat might be so loose it slips off, or maybe the shower will emit a high-pitched scream.
