Dear Guest,
Thank you for your positive review on the Borgo.
In Le Marche Region there are a few good hotels that cater well for special requests and needs. There are not as many as in other Regions as we are better known for charming Boutique Residences, B&Bs and Country Homes.
Here at the Borgo, we have decorated the Palazzo and the Residenza with our family furniture. Every piece has been restored and chosen for the purpose of hosting guests. Our staff is very precious to us and they are like family. Some have been working with us for the past 20 years. They are all very passionate of the Piceno and being local they know all the best, oldest and newest addresses in the area for all sorts of needs: food, clothing, wine, accessorizes etc.
Our in house restaurant is very busy all year round as the two chefs - Davide and Davide - are very well known and the combination of our location with their food is adored by many. Hence, although the restaurant is run separately from the suites and apartments, we follow all its aspects. The two chefs are young and very talented and with our suggestions and directions they work closely with us to create one image, that of the Borgo Storico.
September is a beautiful period to come and visit us as the green colours of the oaks are still strong but some autumn leaves start appearing in other trees creating a lovely pallet from dark reds to bright yellows. Our garden is a 19th century Romantic garden, it is a place where guests are encouraged to walk around, smell, look, listen and taste its magical products. The maintenance of these gardens is huge, it takes years to create the perfect garden as it is a living being, subject to climate change and research of its original design.
We are pleased to be one of the most sought after locations in central Italy – not only in Le Marche - mainly because people appreciate our style and philosophy of hospitality.
We hope your stay in the Piceno was pleasant and that we will see you again soon at the Borgo.

Thank you for your positive review on the Borgo. We are very happy that your stay was a positive surprise! The Borgo is a boutique relais with eleven rooms, hence peace and quiet are part of the experience. We are very pleased that Maria Rita was helpful in making your stay unforgettable. It is ten years that she has been working at the Borgo, hence it is her home. She loves her work and takes great care of all our guests from the moment the enquiry arrives via email or phone. This year she has perfectioned her skills as a wedding planner with a course in Rome at the Castello Odescalchi. We are hence striving to improve our services at 360 degrees.

It was a great pleasure to meet you in August and thank you so so so much for taking the time and attention to write the most kind and gentle review of the Borgo. We are always happy to host single travellers as they contribute a lot to our daily lives: there is more time to "chat" and get to know each other.
We are so pleased that you found helpful Maria Rita and Emma who are great girls in heart and spirit. Dev, our personal indian waiter , is a marvelous person too, he has been working for our family for almost twenty years and takes great pride in the Borgo and great care in our guests.
Breakfast is a focal point of the day and we try to include always local produce. The bioenergetic areas in the garden give great benefit to the the human body by stimulating positively organs like the heart, stomach and brain.
The "Bar dello Sport" is one of our favorite stops in Castel di Lama as the icecream man makes the most interesting and original flavours including the "amaretto", "tropical mix" and the best "bacio" in the world! The Piceno area is very active during the summer months with concerts (classical to jazz) and exhibitions (ancient and contemporary art).
Do please come again to visit us as now you have a home in Le Marche!

Thank you so much for your positive review on the Borgo. We happy to know that you enjoyed our staff members as they are a big part of the Borgo, making every guest feel at home by remembering their names, rooms and needs.
We are a small structure, hence our concerne is to give a tailor made service to all our guests. The historic garden was planted in 1875 by the German botanist and landscape designer Ludwig Winter, we love it to bits as it gives us peace from all the fast running activities of daily life. It is part of the Great Italian Gardens Association and in the last years, we have created "bionergetic areas" where guests can relax and enjoy the benefits of electro magnetisms from plants.
The Piceno Province offers a lot of variety to travellers. Natural beaches can be found more in Abruzzo (Martinsicuro and Villa Rosa) or further north in Cupramarittima. Castel di Lama as a town is very practical as it offers the possibility to shop, eat and drink without using the car. There are in fact a couple of restaurants, clothes and shoe shops and food and souvenir stores.
We are sorry that the menu in our restaurant did not vary that much, we will discuss this with our chefs and make sure to improve it. In line with our healthy views of eating, the chefs base their menus on fresh fish and meats they find in the nearby markets of San Benedetto del Tronto and Ascoli Piceno and obviously on the season's vegetables.
Concluding, we always suggest Ryanair flights to our guests coming from the UK, Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports that are both 200km away.
We are sorry to know about the Cognoscenti booking and will make sure to talk to the Agency to improve this service.

The main Villa is a "Palazzo" and it has been in our family for centuries, making it today, through the experiences of our guests, a "living monument". The two irish setters - loved by all the Borgo staff - are brother and sister and are called Brass and McGlady and are twelve years old! We are a big family here, with staff members that have been with us for more than twenty years. Near the pool we have a small but efficient wellness area where relaxing body treatments are done with chocolate, honey and plam oil. We are also very happy you enjoyed the Piceno Province that has to offer many attractions: old towns, wine cellars, outlets, child friendly beaches, mountains and soft rolling hills. Food here is taken very seriously. For breakfast we serve fresh made cakes and home made jams from our orchard including eggs, ham and bacon! Our in house restaurant, also if under a separate franchise, is controlled by us in terms of quality and professionality. It is in fact generally appreciated as the food is fresh according to season and creative with savoury flavours.
It will be a real pleasure to have you here again!
