Thank you for posting your feedback on Trip Advisor. Whilst it was lovely to read that many aspects of your stay impressed, we were naturally very sorry that on this occasion you also experienced some frustrations.

I am so sorry that the poor signal strength in your suite was unable to be rectified at the time, which I know was most inconvenient. Needless to say the fault has since been addressed.

It was also very regrettable that items with in your suite were less than perfect. We run an on-going perfect room program at Carlisle Bay to ensure that soft furnishings, furniture and the décor as a whole, remain to standard. Again following your comments we prioritised updates for this suite. Regarding your observation about the second bedroom, we have recently completed two sample suites to allow us to trial a new lay out incorporating further storage, handmade beds, new drapes and upgraded lighting. This new design will be introduced throughout our Beach Suites.

I was concerned to read about your encounter with sand flies. We fog every other day just before sunset using a non toxic, environmentally friendly product, which is generally very effective. I was therefore sorry to read that you had been affected in this way.

Thank you so much for posting your comments following your visit to Carlisle Bay. First and foremost we were really pleased that you had a lovely time.

We were very sorry for the inconvenience caused as a result of the hotel’s evacuation. Such events are never ideal but the safety of both our guests and team will always be the overriding priority.

All of our guests were, without exception incredibly understanding. Once we were able to gain access to our main pavilion, we opened our bar and provided complimentary drinks and pizza for all.

I was mortified that you did not receive a note of apology, as personalised letters were placed in all of our suites the next day. Regardless, I very much regret that this did not reach you.

I quite agree that clear communication is absolutely imperative during such challenging and unforeseen events. I do hope we will be able to have you with us again at some point, so that we can make amend as you suggest.

Thank you for adding your comments on Trip Advisor. We were pleased to read that you enjoyed the look and feel of Carlisle Bay and that our food lived up to expectations.

I was however very concerned to learn of your unsatisfactory lunch by our pool. This was clearly, by comparison, very disappointing and I am so sorry that you were let down in this way.

Since your visit in October 2011, we have in fact redeveloped this area and now have an entirely new menu, service style which incorporates an open kitchen with wood burning oven. I do hope that we will be able to have you with us again so that you will have an opportunity to sample lunch with our compliments.
