I appreciate how upsetting this must be for you. I would like to reassure you that we take all reports of this nature very seriously, as we did with yours. I would also like to reassure you, that at no time, did my staff lie to you. If the problem was as severe as you had indicated there would have been evidence in the room even after it had been cleaned. We have a protocol that is followed when such reports are received. I can assure you that nothing was found in the room, and as I mentioned to you on the phone we had no incidents prior to your stay and have had no issues since you have checked out. When we spoke on the phone, you indicated that the bites that you had were from a spider. While I understand how unpleasant this can be, the likelihood of you receiving a spider bite in our hotel is no different then getting bitten in your own home, or perhaps somewhere else on your journey. While I am not deflecting our responsibility I want to make it perfectly clear that there are many plausible explanations for your bites that do not include our hotel.

I am sorry that you found the décor in your room outdated. It is unfortunate that you were not able to experience one of our new guest rooms. The majority of our rooms are newly renovated or brand new because of our recent expansion, and I am certain that you would have enjoyed any one of these rooms. I can assure you that we take pride in the cleanliness of our hotel and the issues you encountered are certainly not the norm for us. It is unfortunate that we were not aware during your stay that you were unhappy with your room and the housekeeping service. Please accept my apologies for your negative experience with our toll free number. The rate that you were quoted is a deeply discounted rate which is not available directly at the hotel. Because of the low rate, there are a few conditions placed on the reservation. These conditions include not being able to cancel or alter the number of nights reserved as well as your credit card being charged at the time the reservation is made. Basically, when such a low rate is offered to our guests, it is similiar to buying an item on a final sale that cannot be refunded. I am sorry that the reservation agent did not clearly explain this to you when you made the reservation. Please be assured that if you contact the hotel directly there are rates available to you which allow much more flexibility. I do hope that, despite this issue, you enjoyed your stay with us!
