Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Tripadvisor. On February 1st 2012 we became Ottawa’s newest independent hotel, The National Hotel and Suites Ottawa. It’s an exciting time for us and we want to assure our clients, old and new, that they will experience the same high level of service and accommodations they have come to expect. Naturally, we were disappointed to learn of your experience. Please accept our apologies and rest assured your comments have been brought to the attention of our Chief Engineer so that he may follow up on the items you have brought to our attention. We hope that you will return to The National Hotel and Suites Ottawa in the future and allow us an opportunity to demonstrate our true high standards of hospitality.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments through Tripadvisor. The National Hotel and Suites Ottawa is pleased to offer guests one and two-bedroom suites, in addition to studio guestrooms. All studio rooms and suites feature wet-bars with mini-fridges and can be confirmed when booking directly with the hotel. We were sorry to learn you were disappointed with the guestroom booked. When booking through Priceline “Name your Price” some great discounts are offered, unfortunately though room types are not guaranteed. We hope that you will contact us when next planning to return and try one of our suites.

That is correct! After thirty seven years as part of the Ottawa landscape, first as the independently operated Inn of the Provinces, and later as part of Delta Hotels, on February 1st 2012 we will officially change our name to The National Hotel & Suites Ottawa. Our mission, vision and values of providing a supportive culture to our employees and guests are of utmost importance. The hotel is steeped in tradition and committed to providing you with top notch service and culinary excellence. We can assure you the same high level of service you have come to expect, and the same great people you’ve come to know over the years will remain unchanged. Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Tripadvisor. We were very concerned by your comments and would like to assure you that your experience is not an indication of our usual high standards. We strive to provide all of our guests with a sense of comfort and security. The indoor parking facility attached to the hotel provides two levels of parking for hotel guests; the top two levels located closest to the hotel lobby elevator. In addition, the parking garage is under video surveillance. We do have bellmen available to assist with luggage, or to accompany you to the parking facility should you request this. We were sorry to learn this was not offered on your arrival. Rest assured your comments have been shared with those concerned. Although it is not easy to receive negative feedback, we feel it provides us with the most effective means to measure and improve our service and we appreciate the opportunity to address any of our guest’s concerns.
