Firstly I would like to thank you on taking the time and effort on writing a review, if however somewhat inaccurate and unfair.

In response to you stating that "obvious that there were cut-backs due to the lack of numbers there being just 23 guests including ourselves and 5 dogs!" being very overstated and untrue. We at The Glenridding Hotel is not a commercial hotel that pry on large numbers, we only open a select number of rooms for the Christmas package, so that we can give each of our customers the excellent personal service required. Due to this we have a number of guests that have been returning to the Glenridding hotel for Christmas for a number of years.

You also state that the previous year’s itinerary states a " 7 course Gala dinner", I have no idea where you have obtained such information but again its incorrect. This year’s Christmas Eve dinner contained a canapé and cocktail reception, starter, main, dessert followed by tea, coffee and mince pies. Our top team of chefs pride themselves in only using fresh local produce, and for you to claim that the turkey served at Christmas lunch was anything but farcical.

‘Mr P’, you stayed with us on the Christmas package for 3 nights, but did not once make any complaint to any member of my team about any of the issues you have raised in your above review, why is this?? Obviously we would have done everything in our power to rectify any of the problems encountered had we known about them. We have never hidden the fact that we are a dog friendly hotel, and as I've said before a number of our patrons have been coming to the Glenridding for a number of years, with their dogs who are all very well behaved and much loved by the hotel too.

Finally sir I would like to refer to your comment about our staff being from "former Eastern Bloc". Many of our staff are from Europe, and as you will find in all reviews we pride ourselves in the best customer service possible, with polite attentive staff, whom are always working hard with a smile making sure each and every guest is comfortable and happy.
