I know that it has been bitterly cold, but the chance to enjoy the warm hospitality (or to sit by one of the three fire-places) is always welcome.

The room with the balcony is a favourite of many of our guests, and whilst it costs a bit more than our Classic Rooms, does appear to be worth it.

In fact, having completed the major refurb in the front hall in mid-January, we are in the process of doing some refurb work in some of the bedrooms, and will be starting work in this very room next week.

So pleased to hear that you had such a good time - and if only I had someone to put a hot water bottle in my bed each night it would be good!

We do look to provide a warm relaxing experience - for all our guests, regardless of age. The chocolate brownie is a favourite of many, and we do have lots of other things for the younger ones to eat as well.

Delighted to read that you had a perfect weekend with us, and that everything that you encountered exceeded expectations.

We do know that we have a wonderful hotel (even better now that we have finished the refurb of the front hall and reception area) - but it is very much our staff who make the difference, and I do feel lucky to have such a dedicated team to work with.

Thank you for the kind comments.

Perhaps the key thing that is most pleasing to read is that the effort that we put in to finding out the little things that are so important to our guests is so well received. When it comes to dietary requirements, the discreet manner in which we handle them is essential, and I am glad that it works!

This does go to prove that we can, and do go the 'extra mile' to look after our guests - whether they are first-time visitors or repeat clients.

Looking forward to seeing you at the end of the year.

It was really good to be able to read such kind and positive comments about the hotel.

We do always work hard to deliver the high levels of comfort, service and food quality which you have clearly enjoyed - and so thank you for the feedback.

With regards the negatives comments, we are in the final stages of refurbishment work (re-opening on 20th January), in which we have completely redecorated the front hall and reception area, but we have also re-carpeted the stairs.

On the issue of the rate, we do have some special rates available from time to time - so if you wanted to sign up to our newsletter, we would let you know when they become available. Alternatively, have a look at the Late Deals page on our website.
