It was disappointing to read your review and even more so with the comments made regarding your stay. The room you stayed in was our Deluxe Beach Spa Villa and as your stay was in January our peak Summer period the beach being busy also reflected on the time of the year that you stayed.
The spa and pool heaters are always turned on in anticipation of your arrival and I would have been operational throughout your stay.
Complimentary newspapers are offered at breakfast every day to every guest and we cook all types of eggs to order. You get charged for alcohol and espresso coffee’s at most establishments and I am surprised that you think we would be any different.
The security shutters are in place on all beach front rooms for when they are not in use, not to distract from the view for guests that are staying there.
It is rare to have a surf carnival at Toowoon Bay Beach and I can only recall two being held in the past twenty years! We do, however, work closely with the surf clubs to ensure minimum disruption to our guests. We are also keen supporters and appreciate the amazing work that Surf Life Saving Association of Australia does for water safety on our beaches.
Sorry that you did not enjoy your stay or that the expectation was not met and that you will not be returning to Kims.

I note that you carried your own luggage from your car to your room. We do have porters available to assist you with your luggage on arrival and departure.
Toowoon Bay Beach is beautiful and most of the times quiet secluded beach. Non guests generally stay near the flagged area which is South of Kims.

We hope that you visit us again when you need to relax and unwind from daily life.

It is disappointing that your expectations were not met and that you did not experience the sense of tradition and warmth in our product. We receive so many comments on our product, location and the service provided by our staff and my family. Being a family owned and operated resort we welcome each guest to our home and try to provide a tranquil place for guests to enjoy and to relax in. So that we do not bother our guests we endeavour to service the bungalows at meal times preferably breakfast, so that guests can return to a clean and made up room, and where possible but we are always happy to service rooms at a time that a guest prefers. We are proud of the buffet we present to our guests daily and our food is always lovingly prepared using only fresh ingredients. As we change our menu each day giving our guests a large variety of fresh food to enjoy, a sample menu can be viewed on our website. We have been a member of Small Luxury Hotels of The World since 1995 and with that we must maintain a high standard and meet a strict criteria which we are ranked very high on. Sorry you did not feel this in your visit.
