I’m terribly sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. We rarely get any negative comments about our beds, so that came as quite a shock. Regarding the night clerk, it is possible that he was preparing some breakfast items for the morning or folding laundry, and for your slight delay I want to extend our sincere apologies. I can assure you that we are not on the same level as any hotel at your destination. We cannot compete with the major brands that are charging you $100-200 per night, but we do try hard to meet your expectations and we are sorry to have fallen short of them.

I would like to state for anyone who is reading this review that this guest has not bothered to read anything about Priceline’s Name Your Own Price program. She looked at Priceline’s website to see what our hotel had to offer. Then she clicked on Name Your Own Price, where you enter a bid of how much you’d like to pay, and Priceline will find a room that matches your price. With this program, which is run by Priceline (not us), there is no place to “select amenities” or even to specify which hotel you want. Priceline’s website even says the following: “The star rating descriptions shown here apply to Name Your Own Price® hotel requests and may differ from those shown for published-price hotels.” The only thing she was guaranteed for her $40 was that she would have a remote control tv, telephone, and alarm clock. By her own admission, she was expecting something that was indeed too good to be true. We tried to appease this guest and explained to her that the Name Your Own Price gave her a one-queen bed room that didn’t include a refrigerator or a microwave, but she would have none of it. This was not misleading, nor was it a false advertisement. It was simply a case of a customer not bothering to read Priceline’s own website before spending her money on it. Unfortunately, we end up with the bad review on TripAdvisor anyway. Thanks for taking a minute to read our side of the story.

As I've mentioned in other reviews, we definitely have flat screen TVs in the plans for our future -- indeed, they will be a nice upgrade.
