We had such a good time with this group from Canada and in the process of talking and sharing about Amish and Mennonite Life, we failed to mention to them that we offer the option for a Modified Breakfast Program with a voucher to Bird in Hand Family Restaurant and or Oregon Dairy Farm Restaurant. Both of these restaurants are close by and the voucher can be used for Breakfast up until 11:00 am each day.
The Breakfast Package is a bargain and people love it because they eat on their own
schedules. You can also stay with us and save a little by electing to use our kitchen to do their own breakfast or just go out to one of the many other places in the area.
This was an over-sight on our part.

One of the good qualities of Amish Country is the fact the Amish and Mennonite farmers use Organic Cow Manure to fertilize their crops. Unfortunately during the days these dear people were staying with us from New York City our Amish neighbor was spreading his fertilizer and some of the oder lingered in the Suite area. If they had asked I would have gladly explained that this is what makes Lancaster County the highest productive, non-irrigated agriculture land in the Nation. I hope they will try us again and I will allow them to visit the farm and pet the cows and horses.
