Les Charmes has loads going for it, including the welcoming and helpful owners, Elaine and Mark. The gite itself is attached to the main house where the owners live but privacy isn't an issue as the gite isn't overlooked. One of its best features is the large sun terrace facing the garden and pool. It gets sun for most of the day until nightfall and we spent every evening eating outdoors (there's a good bbq) and enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. A small family of bats (harmless!) had made a home in the shutters and it was a highlight for our kids to go on bat-watch every dusk, counting them out on their nightly forages.
The gite itself is lovely, with nice touches that it make it a little home from home. Clean and spacious, with a large book shelf, a cupboard full of board games and a CD player, it has everything for a comfortable stay. There's also a tv although we never switched it on. The main bedroom is downstairs, our kids slept upstairs in the twin room... más
