We arrived on a cool and rainy August day with in a group , My parents , one Brother and Two other Adults (us) + two young boys 7 and 4 ..The village of Dulverton and the Area is Beautiful with a Tolkien like quality, peaceful and surrounded by forest .
The Village it self is small but busy ( a local hub ) for grocery's ,pubs , and various small country stores .. these stores include a Co Op (for a fair range of packaged food , newspapers mags etc ) A coffee shop and general store (for papers , stationary , food ) although Coffee is only available after 9.30 am?
Various pubs and eatery's some fairly expensive but most nice .
Note: There is no mobile reception and no internet access in the valley , i found to receive and make texts the best place was to walk to the the top of the grave yard behind the church and sit on the bench (although this is still intermitent )
The Boot (house) is an attractive small thatched cottage around 200+ years old the building... más
