Absolutely incredible in every way

Beyond amazing!!!
We did a two day tour with Stefan as our guide and it was truly spectacular in every way. Discover Iceland arranged our entire trip from collection at the airport to visiting the Blue Lagoon to Snowmobiling and a visit to watch bread being baked in the hot ground. We saw all the main sights and learned so much about this stunning country. I cannot recommend this company more highly. Everything was organised to perfection. We took the large super jeep on the first day, literally travelling off road up the side of a mountain! Not for the faint hearted but so much fun. We then took the large comfort 4x4 the second day. I did a lot of homework on who to use to see Iceland. It is an expensive trip so I wanted the best and I was not disappointed one bit even despite not getting to see the Northern lights (despite best efforts!). Discover Iceland...I will be recommending you to friends and family. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.

Golden Circle Tour with Stefan!

The Best Way To See Iceland
GEorg and his tour company was very helpfully during our whole planning process for our tours around Iceland. Our tour guide Ragnar was a hoot when he took us around the Golden Circle tour. And oh my god, the 4x4 we were was took was so much fun. The highlight was being on the glacier on 4x4 taking in all the views. The tours are expensive but so worth it.

Fabulous guided tour around an amazing country
We had a guide (David) and jeep for 6 of us to take us from Rekjavik to the Highlands. It was an amazing adventure and one that we shall remember for years to come. The flexibility of the guided tour was great - this included stopping off at the start to buy cakes and sandwiches as well as looking at a crevice on display from an earthquake that hit the service station. As we ventured into the highlands the snow got worse so the guide adapted the route to keep us safe which ended up to our advantage as we probably saw even more amazing views. The guide, David, was fab - really knowledgable and had experience of the mountains so we always felt safe. The vehicle was a monster so the snow did it stop us getting around. We took loads of photos and have created loads of amazing memories. If you visit Iceland I’d recommend this approach rather than sitting on a coach mainly sticking to the Golden Circle. We still saw that but much more as well including housing that dated over 1000 years old and some of the most amazing waterfalls. A day to remember and we’ll certainly want to return again.

We used discover Iceland for two tours -the south and the golden circle with snowmobiling. Let me start by saying that georg at discover Iceland was so helpful right from the start. I asked a lot of questions and he was so patient and answered each one. The second georg(lol) was our driver and guard. He was prompt and made sure that we had time to do everything g we wanted to. He was informative and so friendly . When I saw all of the people getting off those Giant tour buses I KNEW I made the right decision to go private. I would definitely give Discover Iceland 10 stars and hope
that this review conveys how pleased we were with discover Iceland

We highly recommend Discover Iceland tour company . They were prompt and professional from the time I made my first enquiry to the end of the tour .
Arni made the day so much fun. He has a great sense of humour as well as a wealth of knowledge . He made us feel very welcome and relaxed for the whole day . There was no time constraints so we could spend as much time as we wanted at each stop. Four wheel driving onto the glacier was fabulous with Arni’s choice in music just perfect for the ride !
The surprise stops were such a treat .
If you want something different and a Fantastic experience we highly recommended Discover Iceland …..and Arni of course !

Amazing company

Arnie our tour guide made our trip a exceptional memorable experience. He got to know us and became a friend! We had various weather experiences but we took them in stride because of Arnie. We explored everything and were never in a rush. Arnie gave us so much history and even found music to enhance our ride. Our group of 4 are in our 70's and we even hiked to the active Volcano. Arnie helped us navigate the " strenuous" trail so we would be able to hike safely. We had a flat while on one of the roads---although the tire got changed, the owner Georg brought us another ( even nicer) vehicle. I can't say enough about this company and Arnie. We had so much fun! Absolutely FABULOUS!

Discover Iceland is the best tour company!
We just returned from a week in Iceland and 4 days with a guide from Discover Iceland. It was absolutely one of the best trips ever!! Georg was fantastic in helping us to plan our tours and Arni made the whole vacation fun and memorable! I would highly recommend!!

Discover Iceland is the best!

We spent 5 days touring Iceland and doing activities with Discover Iceland.
Georg and Karen made all our bookings (hotels, activities) for us. It was an easy process, communication is on point, on time, all questions/concerns answered.
Arni our guide was simply fantastic! He made us feel welcome. He never rushed us with sightseeing. He is always on time. He even made sure our booking for Blue Lagoon pushed thru even if we were late due to delayed flights.
Having 3 teens with me, booking with Discover Iceland was the best decision I made. All we had to do was ride the car, enjoy ourselves and Arni took care of the rest.

Don’t Hesitate! Spend the extra money for a small private tour! Fantastic Guides and Immaculate Vehicles!
We only had two quick days to see what we could in and around Reykjavik. On the recommendation of the tour company we used in Isafjordur, I contacted Discover Iceland via their website and email. The decision was easy. Georg and Discover Iceland had super solid reviews, photos, and videos of all their tours … the difficult decision was choosing which tour would suit us best. The first day we were starting with the Super South Coast Tour and Arni met us at the port in a souped up Land Cruiser with the largest tires I have ever seen! From there, Arni treated us to a full day of adventure, scenery, and masterful storytelling and historical and geographical facts of Iceland - the country and his home he loves so dearly. He even helped us document our trip by taking photographs along the way. Allow me to add … his pics are mostly the ones that got posted to my social media! They were fantastic! And get this … I mentioned I loved puffin and he managed to find an up-close encounter with a puffin for me! That’s just extra style points!

Day two was just as incredible as day one. We had signed up for another tour and I sure it would have been fantastic, BUT - after spending the day with us, Arni had some better ideas. We knew we were in great hands and played a game of “trust your guide” for the day. Arni took our past day and everything we had already seen on the South Coast Tour and matched that up with what he had learned about us the previous day as well. He customized a trip for us and he hit the nail on the head. We visited a more waterfalls, had a beautiful lunch at Fridheimer, a dairy farm with fresh ice cream, visited historical sites and viewed volcanic craters and separating tectonic plates. We finished the day with the VR movie Flying Over Iceland which helped us understand we had only scratched the surface of what Iceland has to offer. We are definitely coming back! We need to chase the auroras with Arni when the time is right. I also believe we need to look into a multi-day tour to maximize the amount of country we can reach. Booking with Discover Iceland was the best decision we made for this trip. We will be back … and we will be requesting Arni again! Thank you Georg for running such a top notch touring company! Thank you Arni for your attention to detail to show us exactly what you thought we would love to see and do! Until next time!!
