This was the most amazing wine tour. Craig was extremely informative and friendly and nothing was too much. If you want a small group tour then this is for you. Very personalised and the fact the vehicle was a VW Combi made it all the more quirky. Craig is an extremely knowledgeable host and we visited some incredible wineries.

Where do we start, Craig the VW driver and tour guide was really the star which made our trip around Napier Wine Cellars unforgettable. His knowledge and personable nature was incredible. The VW van its self was beautiful and definitely the way you should be travelling to the wine cellars! Craig had all the cellars lined up ready to go and had actually hand picked the best of the best to visit, the travel times in between cellars were 10 mins max which was amazing!
The cellars were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable - we visited 4 cellars in total which was the right amount!
We couldn’t recommend more and would 100% do again when we visit NZ in the future. We learnt so much not only about the wines but NZ itself.
Thank you to Craig for really making our visit special!

Craig was amazing... full of so much information and humor. We had so much fun with the wine tastings and the other couple of people on the tour. Despite coming on a Monday when most places were closed, Craig still found us great tastings at Askerne and Brookfields Vineyards. It was so cool coming during harvest time and seeing the equipment and processes. The transportation in the VW van I'll never forget.
We had eleven tours booked during this vacation, three of which were wine tastings in different regions. Everyone's taste is different, but this tour had our favorite wines of the entire trip. And was #2 of all the tours we took. (Sorry Craig, you were a close second but couldn't beet out the Wildlife park with the kangaroos and koalas.)
When we talked about places we would return to, Napier and the Hawkes Bay area are #1 on our list, can't recommend this tour or area enough!

We arrived in Napier from Rotorua and Craig picked us up from our hotel. We then had a very enjoyable 4.5 hour tour of 3 excellent vineyards- with Craig filling us in on the history and culture of Napier. Doing it in a pristine VW camper made it all the more special. Having a personal and personable guide enhanced our wine tasting experience. We fully recommend this tour. Tony, Diane, Tracy and Nick.

Excellent and very personal tour. Craig picked the wineries we wanted to visit and added some very interesting places on top. His Classic Volkswagen Van provides excellent translation and can even take you to the Te Mata Peak. We can really recommend Craig as your tour guide.

Fantastic day out with Craig our guide, so knowledgeable on the area and life in general. Took us to a selection of the smaller vineyards, all welcoming and unique in their own way. The wines were delicious and of course by the end of the day became only a small part of the whole experience.
Don’t be put off by the price, more expensive than many of the tours but we were a group of 3 and had a lovely day of banter and sharing life’s experiences!!
Totally recommend this tour, thanks Craig for a great day.

We had several excellent tours during our time in New Zealand, but this day topped them all. It will always be a wonderful core memory for all of us. It was everything that is good about travel -- wonderful local people who are passionate bout what they do, the opportunity to learn about local culture, hands-on experiences, beautiful sights, great food and drink, and so many smiles and laughs along the way. Craig was an outstanding guide who seemed to be friends with everyone we met, and who listened to us to give us the best possible experience. I can't pick a favorite stop, they were all amazing!

Craig was very friendly and accommodating to the four of us. We really enjoyed his company for the day and his knowledge of the Hawke’s Bay area.
The vineyards we went to were carefully picked by Craig, all having different specialty wines and beautiful surroundings.
We did not feel rushed or on a timescale, Craig made the trip seem seamless.
We had the best time with Craig and would 100% reccomend this to anyone else. Lifelong memories made!!

A small intimate tour with an incredible guide. We visited some amazing vinyards where you tasted sometimes up to 5 different wines at each location. Craig our driver and guide was fabulous, warm, welcoming and highly knowledgable about both the local area and wine. Highly recommend this tour.

We are visiting from Harrogate, UK and had booked a wine tour with Craig whilst staying in Napier. He picked us up from our hotel in his beautifully restored 1970’s VW camper and what a day we had!!! What a lovely guy, full of lots of info on the surrounding area and winery’s. We visited 4 different vineyards on our tour and thoroughly enjoyed our day. Don’t hesitate to book!!! Thanks Craig
