Charming Cruise with a fantastic staff
Not taking into account the food or the cruise itself, the hospitality of the staff was unbeatable. They were clearing things out, telling jokes, conversing with passengers and photobombing pictures, just of the teenagers taking selfies. It was like they genuinely enjoyed what they did. It made the experience as a whole a five. Not to discount our storyteller or musician, who also were so very charming. I could have been fed a ham sandwich and still would have had an enjoyable experience. I didn't though. I had a delicious dinner and dessert. The only thing I will caution anyone is if you've either never been on a boat before or you're not sure how you would do on a boat like this in the ocean, take your dramamine. It can be a little choppy.

Knowing that our guests find our ocean adventures' menu and staff to be unbeatable is definitely and honor! We strive to provide the best service to our valued guests! The west side of Hawaii island, is known for its calm ocean conditions. Mauna Loa and Hualalai Mountains are awesome shields from most trade winds. We appreciate your reminder that even our calm seas can experience occasional choppy conditions. We agree, if you know that you have the propensity to experience motion sickness, take an over the counter motion sickness remedy such as Bonine or Dramamine about an hour prior to boarding. The best news is that most people do just fine! Thanks again! We hope to see you again someday soon!

We took the cruise last night and it was magical!!! We saw manta, humpback whales, and dolphins....THE TRIFECTA! The crew of the Kanoa II was so friendly and accommodating. The food was great! I just can't say enough about how awesome this cruise was. We took our 7 year old and he had a blast. The view, the sea life, the crew, the food everything was just a dream. We highly recommend this cruise to anyone that wants to learn about some local history and just have an all around good time. We will be booking this cruise again as well as any others with Body Glove. Thank you for the memories, Kanoa II!

Not your typical dinner cruise

This was a really nice cruise down the coast. Our narrator did a great job telling us histories and passing down stories. The music entertainment and food were both fabulous. Giving it a 4 because it's not really personalized because the group is so large, but a fun experience never the less. Did I already say the entertainment and food were outstanding. Not your typical dinner cruise.

Aloha Fin489, It is unfortunate that you did not find our Historical Sunset Dinner Cruise to Kealakekua Bay relaxing. We thank you for your patronage and wish you the very best. For our valued readers here's the format of our cruise and our menu for a broader view: Boarding begins at 3:30 pm, departing at 4:00 pm and returning at 7:00 pm. Guests 21 years and over are welcomed aboard our two million vessel with an optional complimentary premium cocktail of their choice. Additional cocktails are available for purchase. We cruise 24 miles round trip to Kealakekua Bay and back. Along the route to the bay our Historian will share history, stories and legends about our island's coastline while pointing out specific landmarks for reference; during narration breaks live music will play. A delicious dinner is served during this portion of the cruise. Our historical narration concludes in the Kealakekua Bay. The entire journey back to the Kailua Kona PIer our musician plays a mix of Hawaii style music and classics. During the last portion of the cruise our musician will increase the tempo a bit (this depends on the crowd) and we invite guests to get up and dance to the favorites such as the Macarena and the Cupid Shuffle. For guests interested in what's on our menu: Starter Mauna Loa Big Island Macadamia Nuts Salad Local Baby Spinach, Rincon Farms Strawberries, Big Island Feta Cheese, Candied Macadamia nuts Served with a House Made Waimea Strawberry Vinaigrette (GF) Main Course Kona Coffee Braised Short Rib Creamy Mashed Potatoes featuring a Kona Coffee Red Eye Demi-Glace Island Baked Coconut Dinner Rolls served with Butter (Vegetarian) Vegetarian Option: Thai Coconut Curry with Hamakua Sweet Potatoes, Hawaiian Breadfruit, Carrots, & Bell Peppers (Vegan/GF) Steamed Jasmine Rice (Vegan/GF) Dessert Chocolate Torte with Strawberry Coulis (Vegetarian/GF) Our Historical Sunset Dinner Cruise has been operating for about 14 years and we are honored to have been voted the best sunset dinner cruise on the island every year by our local newspaper. Fantastic service, food and scenery!
The sunset cruise was incredible. We started with a cocktail, appetizer and a delicious dinner! The dessert was a flourless chocolate cake that was decadent! When we were at the Captain Cook monument we saw some spinner dolphins and a whale. The crew worked very hard and were so good at taking care of everyone!

What a Wonderful, Fun and Entertaining Evening!!!!!

We highly recommend this amazing Body Glove Sunset Dinner cruise to anyone coming to the Big Island! The crew on the Body Glove were attentive, kind and entertaining. The food was was excellent - we had salad first, then beef, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. The dessert was a chocolate moose pie, which was scrumptious!! The entertainer was superb - excellent voice and very engaging with the audience. Many people were dancing to his wonderful music. The historian gave us much interesting information about the islands and the Hawaiian people. The evening was only made better by the incredible sunset that we saw. Thanks to the amazing Body Glove crew and captain for giving us another FABULOUS evening. We'll be back again,

This dinner cruise was amazing! Johnny and the entire crew were friendly and offered prompt service. The food was incredible and the story telling and entertainment were highly enjoyable! We got incredibly lucky and saw not only whales and dolphins but SHARKS too!! That usually doesn’t happen so we feel really lucky to have seen all three in our dinner cruise. I would recommend this dinner cruise to anyone looking for a beautiful sunset and yummy dinner!

A wonderful diner cruise

It was a wonderful evening. We left on time, we were served an excellent Mai-Tai and the meal was served hot. We were fortunate to see whales dancing in the water in the back of the ship. We could purchase drinks at very reasonable price. We had a very interesting presentation explaining many historical elements of this magnificent island and went up to the Captain Cook monument before turning to come back to port. We also were entertained by a musician playing excellent music. Finally we have to thanked the crew, who following the meal, invited guests to come and dance with them. It was great fun and we enjoyed every minutes of this excursion.
