This trip was the best thing I have ever done and everything outstanding. Made possible by our driver Youssfe who was patient, knowledgeable and made the group feel safe. Thanks to everyone I met, the memories of these last few days will last a lifetime, especially the Camels Xx

We did 3days trip from Marrakesh to Merzouga. All staff was very good. Our driver drove very safe. Guides was interesting and polite.
I would apreciate at least hour earlier arrival on desert, as this is the main attraction.
But overall worth to do this trip.

An excellent experience. The van is comfortable enough for the long time you spend on the road, and it's also safe.
Our driver did a really good job and stopped frequently for taking pictures and for bathroom/snacks breaks.
After crossing the Atlas mountains, our first stop was at Aït Benhaddou, where we had a guided tour (not included). This place is famous for being the filming location of several movies and series, like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and you get great views from above.
We had lunch in a restaurant nearby (lunch is not included, but dinner is). Food was delicious, and the menus are around 100dh each (starter, main and desert).
After that we headed to the hotel La Gazzelle du Dades, where we had dinner and a well deserved rest. The food there was good (a soup and a chicken tajine) and abundant. The room was good also, taking into consideration that the place is in the middle of nowhere. Although the mattress was really hard, but for one night it was ok.
Next day we had breakfast and headed up to Les Gorges du Toudra, a canyon with really nice views, and we went to a craft carpet shop where they showed us how do they make them (and of course tried to sell some of them to us, but they weren't pushy at all).
We finally arrived to Merzouga around 16:30, and drove through the dunes with a 4x4 truck that carried us to our camels. The experience was amazing of riding the camels was great and we were able to see the sunset from the dunes, which was breathtaking.
Last but not least, we headed to the Berber camp, where we were received by some tea. We had dinner there and listened to some live local traditional music (they even teached us to play the instruments).
We stayed in a private tent, really big, with a double bed, really comfortable.
Next day we catched the sunrise, had breakfast and headed back for a long 10 hours drive back to Marrakech.
All in all, a magnificent experience!!!

I really enjoyed this tour. The tour operator team were honest, professional and well organized. This tour combines good quality with a fair and affordable price. They took good care of us (entire group) every step of the way. I was traveling with a friend and they sent someone to meet at our riad and escort us to the tour van. There wound up being about 16 people in the group. The van was a little cramped our driver (Syiad) was excellent. Syiad was awesome and very professional. The drive between sights was long, but Syiad stopped regulary for bio-breaks and even scenic photo opportunities. We saw all the sights as described in the brochure. For the overnight hotel accommodation, I reserved the upgraded hotel (3 star). The room was adequate for a one night stay. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. I also booked the luxury campsite. It was very comformtable and clean. The dinner and breakfast were also excellent. My tent had a bath room and shower. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. They really delivered everything they said they would ! Great job Marrakech Desert Tours team ! Thank you.

We paid for this tour online and have paid about £350 more than we needed to. We shared this tour with people who paid €90 per person for the standard tour. The only difference was we stayed in the luxury accomodation. We have checked the price difference from the hotels themselves and there was under £100 difference. This is a good your but do not book online, wait until you are in Morocco and book through your riad or with the company direct. You will save hundreds.

I booked 3 days shared Marrakech Desert tour with MDT with upgraded private hotel room and luxury desert camp. All I can say is that I really enjoyed the trip and how the itinerary being carried out. The itinerary focused on the great spots and it is well organised.
Though I had a problem with my desert accommodation and not done the activity (sand boarding) as the driver dropped me on the wrong camp (standard camp),I still enjoyed the camel ride and the accommodation. Even MDT told the driver to dropped me on the luxury camp on the start of the tour, I thought the driver forgot it. So it is good to remind the driver what you had booked to make sure you get what you paid for.
When I informed MDT about what happened they are very helpful to explain and made me understand what had happened. As a result, they give me back my refund for the price difference of my accommodation and full refund for my sand boarding. The customer service is upfront to answer on the chat and email. Its a great customer service!
I shared the tour with other people whom i become friends we had booked different accommodations. I suggest you booked at least standard on the desert so you got a tent and at least WC outside or better the luxury accommodations if it is on your budget. I enjoyed everything on this trip and will do it again with this company when i go back to Marrakech.

Will never forget the stars in the sahara desert and warm greetings from guides there.
And I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our experienced driver. I didn't ask his name, but I think his name is Saddam? maybe? Please say my word to him.

A superb 7 day tour of Morocco, starting in Fes, including 3 day desert tour and then onto Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Chef Chowan.
Private 7 day tour for four. The camping in the Sahara was definitely the highlight of the tour! Sunset and sunrise camel trek, luxury camp site, with en-suite facilities.
A really enjoyable week! The tour ran at a good pace with perfect balance of activity vs relaxation/free time. Our guide Faress was a lovely unassuming man who spoke excellent English, he prioritised our well-being throughout the day and accompanied us throughout check in at each of our hotels translating on our behalf where necessary. Faress was knowledgeable throughout the tour and was able to give an insight into Moroccan life. He was an excellent driver and I was able to relax feeling quite safe (even able to sleep) whilst travelling. Again,a super week with excellent communication with both the tour company and Faress our chauffer/guide.

My wife and I took this tour on our honeymoon. The accommodations were excellent and the trip overall was great. It did get pretty exhausting sitting in a van for 8-10 hours a day, especially with all of the road construction going on. And there was some confusion at various stops along the way. But the camping at the Erg Chebi sand dunes made it all worth it.

What is phone reception like throughout the tour? If I spend 3 days in the desert will I be able to send the occasional text home to let my family know I’m okay?
