Hello, David and Twyla. First of all thank you for choosing to travel with us on your Botswana Safari. We regret that your safari experience with us was less than ideal and it seems it did not meet your expectations. We accept the criticism to some of our post covid operational hiccups that led to two stretcher beds missing for one night of your Moremi tour. It is however surprising to hear most of your complaints for the first time here on this platform, considering that I was constantly checking up on you and your family to attend to your requests for extra amenities and provisions during various stages of your safari tour. As the owner of the company I was in constant communication with you in camp and even travelled to camp when your granddaughter was not feeling well to checkup on her. and as I recall the food was not even mentioned once as being unsatisfactory at any stage of the tour. I even personally brought the 8 extra luggage suitcases from Maun to Kasane to meetup with you after your bush safari and I took the time to get feedback from you and your family before you checked in the hotel. The only complaint of note that you mentioned was that the alcohol allocation was insufficient and I promptly apologized for that due to the misunderstanding that occurred on booking the alcohol package that you decided on. The luggage regulations are not for us to decide, they are regulations stipulated by the airline companies. we simply just comply. We could have risked taking your extra luggage with you on safari in a luggage trailer and it would have been bounced around and maybe even damaged on the rough terrains but we chose to offer you a more efficient luggage transfer from Maun to Kasane via tarred road and yes the service was a billable service that you agreed to. When you processed your booking, the airline companies had a rate which we used to quote your transfer, and a few days before your travel that rate was increased by all airline companies due to the sudden increase in fuel prices worldwide, We immediately informed you of this situation and as a I recall you had no problem paying the extra fees levied on your booking. Maria is a very experienced reservationist and organizationally proficient, she does her best to advise our clients of what to expect on our safaris and plans the best possible itineraries with the aim of maximizing our clients safari experiences according to our local expertise and knowledge. Once again, we thank you for travelling with us and we wish it could have been a better experience for the both of us. We hope your next safari destination will bring much better memories.
