We had a great tour of Jerusalem with Yossi (a 5* guide). Masada and the Dead Sea and the food tour of Tel Aviv. The Bethlehem tour seemed focussed on shopping and we had a lot of wasted time. I would have loved to see some of the murals in Bethlehem and other sites rather than having a hard sell in the tourist shop. The agency itself is disorganized. Day 1 of our tour was cancelled while we were in flight to Israel. They told us the wrong start time for our first tour, which made for a stressful start. They gave people the name of a hotel in Jerusalem that was closed. All of the people we spoke with found the organization disorganized. Perhaps it’s because Israel just re-opened and they don’t have staff. I would not book with them again.

I've been to Israel 5 times but this is the first visit for my husband and the first time we are doing an 8 day tour together <3 I actually booked a 1 day Trip to Petra with Tourist last year and it was amazing, This time, I'm travelling with my beloved, we love the package, they accommodated our schedules, work with our limitations...
And we love all the guides, they are unique in their own way, knowledgeable, funny, patient, efficient and professional, we had Ido (Jerusalem), George (Bethlehem, Jericho), Eli W (Masada, En Gedi, Dead Sea), Yonathan (Caesarea, Akko, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee) Kudos to all and to YONATHAN who is actually an Archaeologist, we are blessed to have him for 2 days, he has the personal and special touch, knowledge is excellent! Tourist Israel is very organized from the Day 1 arrival at Ben Gurion to the last day of the tour, they took care of us, always making sure there is someone who is looking after us, esp point of pick up and drop off. We love Tourist Israel and will definitely recommend to our family and friends... Until our next visit, Toda Raba! Shalom!!!

This was our first trip to Israel. My wife wanted to also include Petra and Wadi Rum as a side trip. If you read the details of the day trip or package that you select on the website, they deliver as promised and exceeded our expectations. Communication with the travel agents was excellent! They rearranged our itinerary to fit our travel as needed. The description of the tours and hotels was accurate.
I'm not sure what the arrangement is, but most of the tours in Israel were through Bein Harim Tours. Tour guides Ornit, Yitamar, Dorit, Dan, and Yael were excellent!!! Each gave us a perfectly paced tour of each location and loved to answer any and all questions.
The trip to Jordan was exactly as described on the website. Border crossings was facilitated by the tour guides on both sides. The itinerary was as described. We were give a choice of snorkeling in the Red Sea or free time in the market. Although there was an additional charge for the snorkeling, we highly recommend it.
All prices are negotiable when dealing with taxi's, boat rides, and buying souvenirs in the markets. They expect to bargain with you. It adds to the fun.
In summary, we highly recommend.

Thank you, Talkinpix, for your kind recommendation of our services and for choosing Tourist Israel. It was truly our pleasure to have you and your wife travel with us, and we are thrilled to know that for your first trip to Israel you enjoyed the experience. We couldn't be happier to know that you were not only satisfied with our online booking process but also with the service given by our travel geniuses. It is also so special to hear that each guide offered their own unique perspective and personality when guiding and that each tour was memorable. We are also so pleased to hear that you and your wife enjoyed your time in Petra and Wadi Rum and that the tour was exactly as described. Thank you again for choosing Tourist Israel, we hope you will both return to the region in the future, we would be happy to see you again!

We were quite impressed, with the efficiency and professionalism Tourist Israel exhibited during these 8 days, especially how their personnel handled some unexpected hurdles. Kudos to you all , Mr Rabbin/Ravin? was quick to accomodate my mom and brother in a 1-day tour of Petra, as their visa was restricted, & disallowed a 2 day stay.I also appreciated Mr Ramzi on the Tourist Jordan side, who was very patient, in a clamorous situation.
I do advise travellers from India to scrutinize their visas at the time they receive it , making sure they have a multiple entry stamp. We had requested this, but was given single entry. Of course, Merle , at your office, was quick to reply to our numerous requests and queries, thank you Merle!
Handling a diverse group like ours is a difficult task, with ages ranging from 50 to 85! ....except for a rather rude lady picking us up.- day 2, we had a great experience!
Special thanks to our tour guides , ITHAMAR, you are kinda special , you do have a uniquely captivating way of explaining the complex history of biblical times, both old and new era, Jewish and Christian. Also like to thank Dori & Danny, guys excellent job!
Brace yourselves for some delays crossing over to Jordan, & travel fatigue, 3:00 AM pick-up times, plenty of hydration is advised, travel light, & evening wind gusts can get quite chilly, keep googles handy for dust storms in the Wadi
Thanking yawl, once again

My partner and me booked this trip and we couldn't be more happier. There was a great organization to pick us up at the right time, the activities or plan for the day were really interesting and took the time expected, and the guide tours were brilliant.
What we did not like is that they had some tours where they drop you at their selected shops to encourage the tourists to buy. Also the trip of Nazareth and Galilea sea was not very interesting.
Overall I would recommend this company 100%!

Many thanks for your kind words, review and recommendation! We are so happy to hear that you and your partner enjoyed the trip and the experience including the organization, the activities, the timing, and the guides. We want to note that shopping is up to each traveler and not promoted by Tourist Israel, nor do we receive any commissions from any shops. Rather, there is some free time on some of the tours in shops for those who would like to purchase souvenirs, snacks, water or use bathrooms in the shops. We thank you for choosing Tourist Israel and thank you again for your recommendation and hope to see you again in the future!

Let me say I had a great time on this trip as I loved Israel and visiting all the historic sites, but I will not travel with Tourist Israel again. I visited Nazareth, Galilee, the Dead Sea, River Jordan, Masada, Caesarea, Knights Hospitalier, Wadi Rum, Petra, Aqaba, Eilat. I will not book with Tourist Israel for the following reasons:
1. They cannot be reached except by email once you book a trip - and they refuse to call you either. I was dealing with different agents each time. 2. They are booking agents and not the actual tour company as they pass you on to Fun-Time which is the actual company doing the tours. 3. The cost for the tour was $1396 and the identical 8-Day tour of Israel and Jordan is $1270 if you book direct with Fun-Time. 4. They say there is no "hidden cost" but I was charged $438 extra in Jordan when we got there. They did not explain this right up front before I booked the tour. 5. We wasted the last day by coming back from Jordan to Eilat from Aqaba doing nothing as we had to wait until 7 pm for the bus to pick us up. When we got back to Tel Aviv that night we were all dropped off at a hotel after midnight and had to find a cab to get back to my hotel. None of this was explained. Do the 8-Day trip but book direct but not through Tourist Israel.

Hi Remy D, Thanks for taking the time to reach out and share your experience. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed Israel and the sites, the people and the overall experience. We are disappointed to hear your feedback about your tours experiences and would be happy to shed some light on your comments. We offer online service 7 days a week with our reservation team online from 9:00 am - 10:00 pm in Israel and additionally, each traveler received a 24/7 emergency contact phone number in their booking confirmation. Additionally, for travelers who wish to speak with a reservation assistant over the phone, phone calls can be scheduled and the team is happy to answer any questions prior to booking. Additionally, as per our website and your confirmation, the tour operators are locally selected and handpicked to offer the best possible experience. In regards to the price, it is clearly noted on our website, as well as in your booking confirmation that the border fee and visa fee are not included in the tour price. These additional fees are paid directly to the border authorities in Israel and Jordan. These fees are not paid to the tour operator or to Tourist Israel. Additionally, the tour ran as scheduled and according to the itinerary which includes free time in Eilat with time to spend at the Red Sea at the beach or at the many shops and cafes in Eilat before returning to either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. We are sorry to hear your experience was less than expected, and we thank you again for sharing your feedback with us in order to improve our services of future customers.

I went to Israel in September, I found Tourist Israel to be professional courteous, efficient, reliable and great value for money, I would most definitely tour with them again, and I have recommended them to all my friends! In fact even before I got to Israel, I spent months badgering Nathalie and Bara with questions about the trip, they came back promptly and informatively, in fact it is the best customer service I have ever encountered with any tourist company and I have travelled to over 60 countries.!

Wow! I am glad I didn't read the negative reviews on here before I booked! I have just returned (Tues 6 Feb) from the 8 day tour Israel / Jordan tour plus I paid extra to do a day trip to Cairo. Some reviews complain about the traffic but last time I checked Tourist Israel / Fun Time do not have super powers and cannot control traffic or incidents/accidents which may delay journeys. I am also yet to do a tour where a guide doesn't take you a souvenir shop, if you aren't interested you don't have to buy and if all of you don't want to buy, the guide moves on pretty sharpish - it is what it is and don't feel that is Tourist Israel specific. I also did not feel pressurised into buying anything anywhere. I took it to just be part of the experience and I didn't find stopping at shops intrusive in any way nor did I feel that it took away from time at other sites or meant that we rushed through things. It may be down to our group size and specific tour guides but we could always ask questions if we needed or stop for a couple minutes extra.

My experience of the package tour was a positive one. Yes, I think there are things that need to be approved i.e one hotel in Jordan wasn't great, better communication with some of the guides about entrance fees etc being inclusive and I think the 4.5 hour "wait" at the ICE Mall is unnecessary esp given the fact that you arrive back at about midnight and then have to be ready to leave at 730 the next day BUT the company did resolve issues when I contacted them.(TIP: Save your receipts)

The group that I was with ranged between 6 - 10 people so I guess the smaller the group the better the experience. I saw some people mention they had groups of 60 people and so if I had been in that situation my experience may well have been different.

I cannot fault any of our tour guides who were all knowledgeable and were respectful when dealing with our group. A special mention goes out to Avi Biran who entertained our group with his bad jokes ("Mangoes" lol), Mahmoud our Jordanian guide who ensured everything went smoothly and even took a few of us out for ice cream and a big big thanks to the guys at Nature Travel Egypt who took us to Egypt and back. We had to take the longer route (10 -12 hours EACH WAY) but these guys were the best so much so that the journey definitely didn't feel that long. They also constantly made sure I was okay after initially not feeling very well. Shenouda and Hennes made sure border crossing was quick and easy and Mina and Nasser definitely knew their stuff when talking about Egypt so it was a very informative trip but still loads of fun too.

Tourist Israel / Fun Time offer a reasonably priced package which does have alot crammed in and in my opinion is a decent deal. Some people I feel want Harrods luxury whilst shopping in M&S! if that isn't you then this is good option.

Thanks for taking a moment to share your experience with us about your package! We are so glad to hear you felt the tour was good and thank you for your kind thoughts about the overall experience. Although we wish we had super powers to control traffic, and border wait times, we of course do not. Our team works hard to keep the itinerary on schedule and offer the most time as each site. Also, thank you for your mention about the souvenir shops, which Tourist Israel does not receive any commission from, and also double as an opportunity to use the bathroom - as well many tourists do wish to make purchases. We are so happy that you felt your guides were informative, fun and ensured that everything went smooth. There are many logistics when travelling between 3 different countries (Israel, Jordan and Egypt) and we are really glad to hear that you felt these were smooth transitions. One thing about the stop at the mall, this is of course as per the itinerary, when guests have free time in Eilat, and this is a central location next to the beach, shops and cafes to enable travelers to use this time as they wish. We thank you again for sharing about your experience with us and are really pleased you felt it was a good option that you enjoyed your trip!

This was not a good tour. I think first off it's best to mention that this was sold as an 8 day tour, when in fact it was 5 x 1 days tours of Israel and a 3 day tour of Jordan. This meant that we had different 'guides' and/or drivers for each one (some days the driver was the guide).
At no time was there anyone around (or available) to answer any questions or be responsible for any of the 'tour' on behalf of Tourist Israel. The entire thing was outsourced, badly organised and just not worth the money. I left feeling like I really didn't learn that much as some of the guides didn't even bother to tell us anything.
It is also worth noting that the vehicles used mostly had 'fun times' written on them, so we assumed that was the company actually being used.

The only redemming quality was that 2 of the 6 guides were actually good at what they did (David who took us around Jerusalem and Honi in Jordan). They were helpful and knowledgable and bothered to keep count of the number of people on the tour so as not to lose them.
The others ranged from uninterested to down right rude - people were lost and almost left behind, yelled at and just ignored. The only reason people were not left behind was due to other people on the tour keeping tabs on each other and letting the 'guides' know when they lost people and making them wait (not all the guides wanted to wait).
As one of the guides told us: 'I don't know who you are, I don't know your name or number and I won't be able to find you if you get lost, so don't lose me'. That was actually what he said and it was appalling. When I tried to ask what the meeting point was in case people did get lost he just yelled at me. I tried to ask 3 times and 3 times got talked over and yelled at. This guide took us through a market in Nazareth (which was very busy and often single file) and didn't bother to stop or pause for people to catch up. In the end we all took out umbrellas etc so the people behind could actually follow the group (there were 60 or so of us).

One of the hotels in Jordan turned off the heating in the middle of the night. Which might have been ok if it was not so cold that you needed to wear socks, shoes and jackets inside. People got sick and I'm still recovering 6 days later.

Another point worth noting is, due to this being day trips, and mostly based from Jerusalem, that you have to get back to Jerusalem each night for the next day.
This didn't really work every well as it meant extra driving, sometimes hours extra that would have been required if this had been done as an 8 day tour.
Crossing back from Jordan we stopped in Eilat. Now the next day we were to see Masada and the Dead Sea. Masada is about 2 hours drive from Eilat. So we could have stayed at either place. But we were driven from Eilat to Jerusalm, which took 5-6 hours (due to traffic and a crazy driver and multiple stops) and we got in about 1am. Only to have to get up for a 7.30am start to drive 2 hours back to Masada.

As this is not a fully organised group tour, the hotels are not booked under the Tourist Israel name, but rather individuals names. So when you get to the hotels the rooms are not always ready and they know nothing about the tours.

One of the days the driver was so tired he was nodding off while driving. We were watching to make sure he didn't fall asleep and had coffee each time we stopped. To say it was a little scary doesn't really cover it.

My friend and I were not sure before we booked about the mixed reviews. But on one of the day trips we were speaking to someone who had used this company a few years ago. We mentioned this and they said it had changed a lot and was nothing like what they remembered. So while the old good reviews were valid, the new bad reviews are correct currently.

Because the groups were sometimes large, and the buses slow, we did miss out on a few stops.

I think tourradar might want to rethink promoting this company.

If you feel comfortable driving I would suggest hiring a car and doing it yourself. The roads are good and it is safe. Jerusalem and Tel Aviv have free walking tours with other companies (see Sandemans). Jordan has all manner of tours for Petra. And while the boarder crossing is slow, I saw lots of people doing it in their own groups.

Thanks for taking a moment to share with us. You booked an 8 day Israel and Jordan package which clearly states that 3 days are spent in Jordan and the other 5 are spent in Israel. When you book this package it is clearly described and sent in your itinerary. We are sorry to hear that there were some delays, but since this is a group tour there can soemtimes be delays when picking up other passengers. Also, please note that the border is out of our control, we work hard to create our itinerary based around an avegage wait time at the border, again we are disappointed that on your particular day there were many people waiting to cross. We assure you that our team strives to deliver the best possible experience in both Israel and Jordan to experience these 2 amazing countries, in just 8 days.
