Our guide, Saleem, picked us up at exactly 1:30 from our hotel. We drove about 2 hours to the desert, where the fun began.
Saleem is an amazing guide and driver. He drove us until sunset around the dunes and in addition to the fun, also showed to us wildlife and plants.
Food was excellent, and in a quantity that was sufficient for twice the number of people. We have dietary limitations, and Saleem went out of his way to accommodate them.
We slept in a tent in the middle of the dunes, woke up to sunset views, and then drove back, via the fort in Liwa.
I would give our guide the highest possible marks. Definitely will come again.

My friends and I were retreated to an excellent experience on our overnight safari with Zahoor, our guide.
The dune bashing was great, with lots of thrills but we always felt safe with Zahoor. He was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions. He stopped anytime he thought we might like to take pictures and took us to many scenic spots.
In addition to the great dune bashing, we were treated to a wonderful dinner in an oasis near our campsite. We slept up in the dunes and were there to see the morning sunrise.
I would definitely recommend Desert Rose and you should ask for Zahoor as your guide.

It was a very good experience to stay over night at the desert. Our tour guide, Saleem picked us up from hotel around 2pm. Then started our journey to the desert. The whole tour includes sand bashing, unlimited times of sand boarding, good sunset view, camel ride, belly dance, good food, unlimited drinks, henna painting, local costume photo opportunity and a lot more. The best is my friend and I were the only one staying overnight. Saleem hosted us very well, always took care of us all the time. We enjoyed the camp fire, the stay over at the tent and also the beautiful sun rise. The washrooms are very clean as well. I’m amazed and definitely worth going again if I’m travelling in Abu Dhabi.

4 of us booked an overnight trip to Liwa Desert with Desert Rose. The whole process was painless and Roseanne, the sales rep, was prompt in her response. I specifically requested for Zahoor based on previous reviews. Zahoor is a gem of a guide - he clearly loves going into the desert and we felt completely safe with him - based on his knowledge of the area. He was also very accomodating and picked a beautiful place for us to camp. Sunrise and sunset were amazing... dune bashing was very fun. I would book this tour again for friends coming through Abu Dhabi

We did the overnight tour of Liwa desert with Zahoor as our guide. If there is one tip that I would give - it's to ask specifically for Zahoor for this tour. He has lived in the UAE for over 43 years and he knows the desert cold. He gave us a private tour and drove us around the beautiful dunes of the famed "Empty quarter". Zahoor is a very knowledgeable guide and very entertaining and accommodating. We requested that we not be in a large group and as luck would have it, we ended up in our own private oasis. Zahoor set up camp in a secluded area of the desert and we were able to enjoy it all by ourselves. We got to enjoy both a sunset and a sunrise. The view under the stars was incredible. BTW - the oasis we stayed in is managed by a nice gentleman named Faisullah who has been there for 15 years. Both Zahoor and Faisiullah made this one our most memorable trips ever. One other piece of advice - go before the tourist hordes descend in 2020. It might never be the same.
