Met pheaurn in siem reap and had the most locals experience ever. From eating the best khmer curry to visiting local village and watching sunset. Cannot ask for more. Pheaurn is the best host in Cambodia. He speaks amazing English as good as native fillipino...haha. Very affordable tour with great value for the food and u earn a good friend. Hope to see u again soon!

Fo travelers seeking something special, feeling you are getting lost from something what you need, what you love.
I always have loved to be one with countries that I traveled but it was been hard to do because you need someone who can give you some informations about local lifes and connect with local people.
But my dream came true by dear Phearun Diep and this amazingprogram! It was the first time I could feel I am really connecting with people who are living in an another country.
He and his son came to our hotel early morning on a trip day to pick us up. First of all we went to Mather Teresa Missionary for meeting kids that they are helping. I am an only child so I never have hugged a baby before. But after I found him on my arms, I could feel all my bad and ugly minds inside me going away. I wished I have only good things to give these babies and kids in my mind. It was such a memorable, sparkling, worthy time.
Then we stopped by a big market and Phearun let us choose what we want to eat for lunch. We could get ingredients we want! Then we started to go to a local region for experiencing making a basket.
On the road to the local place, I could feel the fresh air and have enjoyable driving time on his motorcycle. I saw Siem Reap’s landscapes I never saw before on that road. I regretted how much I did see only small parts of Siem Reap(like Pup Streets). Abroad green landfields were spread in front of me. Sometime the motocylces needed to go around breautiful cows on the big road. It was just like a movie scene.
After we arrive the house making baskets, I saw such a pretty little garden with chickens and dogs. I wish I could stay there instead of city. We learned how to make basket, it was difficult first time but getting better as I concentrated. A dog chasing his tale, kids and babies laughing looking at that dog, chickens belonging with people, grandmathers who taughted us and had such a warm smile. I didn’t feel I am traveling, I could feel I am connecting with people and understanding their life even if we didn’t understand each other’s languages.
Then Phearun brought us to his brother’s home near by! His kids made amazing foods with the ingredients that we chose for us! Wow, fried vegetables and delicious lake fish soup. Actually I feel sorry for him because I ate three dishes of rice. But it was so delicious... Then we came back to hotel now!
Again, I truly recommand this trip for you. It is a really rare chance to get this kind of experience with so good people. I hope you don’t miss it.

This is a fantastic way to spend a morning while you're in Siem Reap. You get to see more of Cambodia that isn't usually accessible for tourists, and you know the money you spend is going to a good cause.
First we went to the Mother Teresa Missionary Home and spent time with the children there. This is where part of your money goes, to helping the home and the good work they do.
After this we went to a market where you can choose fresh food to be prepared for lunch later on. The market is densely packed, and is a far cry from the markets near Pub Street. Without this trip we probably never would have had the opportunity to see these markets.
When you finish at the markets you go into the countryside and learn about local basket weaving while meeting some welcoming local women. The basket weaving was surprisingly interesting, and gives you the chance to support some Cambodian workers, who you'll notice, if you've spent long in Cambodia, are woefully underpaid for their work. Then finally you'll have lunch at Phearun's house with the food you bought earlier at the market, before returning to your hotel.
This trip is definitely worth embarking on, you are getting an authentic experience with a side of Cambodia usually ignored by tourists. I have so much respect for the time, effort, and work that Phearun puts into helping people, and taking this trip is a great way to help him continue his work.

When i had my vacation plus job haunting in Siem reap Cambodia i have meet a genuine person. His Name is Phearun. Amenable and accommodating being who is willing to help and extend his hospitality to foreigners. Great service that's all i can say. He is friendly and approachable and i enjoyed talking with him. All i can say i definitely recommend his place coz they treat you as a family. I will never forget my encounter with Phearun. It's an amazing and wonderful experienced to be kept for a lifetime. He is a trustworthy person and i can assure all of you, you'll never regret it. I'm grateful that i meet him by chance and until now we still do keeping in touch with each other. I'm looking forward to visit him and i'll bring more friends to his place. Tu me manques Mon ami, à bientôt! ( i miss you my friend, see you soon)

Of all the time I spent in Cambodia, the time I spent with Phearun is my favorite memory. He's a delightful young man with great English skills, who genuinely enjoys meeting guests and spending time with people. The food I had with Phearun was simply delicious, and I was able to learn about local traditions (like using rice balls to eat soup with your hands!). Touring the local market before lunch is an adventure you won't soon forget.
Phearun also connected me with some of his local charity work. It was truly heartwarming to personally witness where my money was going and know that I wasn't supporting one of the many "charity" scams one encounters that do more harm than good.
I highly recommend meeting Phearun and sharing lunch with him while you're in Siem Reap. Bring your (respectful) questions about local life and you'll leave feeling that you have a Cambodian friend.
Phearun also connected me with some of his local charity work. It was truly heartwarming to personally witness where my money was going and know that I wasn't supporting one of the many "charity" scams one encounters that do more harm than good.

Through couchsurfing I’ve meet Phearun in Siem Reap. He was accommodating and very friendly. We’ve talked a lot about travel and goals in life. It felt like we’ve known each other for a long time. I’m happy to know him and we still communicate. I can assure you he can be trusted and can provide excellent service.
