See and Learn About the Historic Roots of the Modern City

We booked this tour in order to see some of Bengaluru without figuring out or own transportation. This was an excellent idea as the traffic around the city was definitely a challenge to navigate. Our tour guide and driver arrived right on time and got us started with some history of the city and the places we would see. We stopped at the Bull Temple and were given lots of history and even some context on the temple's importance in Hinduism. We sampled some south Indian snacks and coffee from a restaurant. It was great to go with a knowledgeable person to help us find a clean, safe place to try something delicious. We ventured to the original produce/flower market. The amount of fresh produce and flowers for sale was almost as overwhelming as the crush of people there! We drove over to the Parliament Building and walked a bit in Cubbon Park. The tour hit some great highlights, we learned a lot, got great pictures and enjoyed our air-conditioned ride. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bengaluru!

Great walking tour

We enjoyed the tour a lot, our guide Navitha answered all our questions on Bengaluru and also general questions on life in India. We very much enjoyed that and learned a lot! We also had a very delicious meal! We only had a little problem in the beginning finding the correct meeting point, more precise communication could have been helpful. Furthermore, the market was very crowded that day which made walking around a little bit stressfull, so we would advice to do the tour on a weekday rather than a weekend.

Thank you for the review. Glad to hear you enjoyed the tour. As for the your feedback on the 2 pointers: - The meeting point provided in GYG website shows the exact location with the Google map pin. I believe the driver who got you to the location may have been wrong in leaving you in a different spot. - The description of this tour shows the area as a busy market place, be it a weekend or weekday. The tour guide also cautioned about the ongoing festivals in that area making it a little crowded than normal days. We are always striving to make experiences better for our guests. Hence we will take your feedback to provide necessary information again with the clients before the tour date. Thank you

Excellent & Detailed Tour of Bangalore!

During a work trip, I was able to fit in a half day tour of Bangalore city. The itinerary covered the must-see of Bangalore and the half day start/end time was based on my schedule. It was extremely easy to email Sushma (owner) about the logistics, details, etc. Our guide - Navitha - was simply the best! She provided a lot of background information about the history of Bangalore, details that only a local would know, answered questions about culture & current events, and plenty more!

I would highly recommend Yours Truly India. I'm definitely looking at their other tours when I return.

Amazing Bangalore
Excellent tour for my first time in Bangalore. Sushma could arrange anything we need for our trip. I have got private shopping tour, photoshoot to record my first time in India as well. What’s a memory trip. Truly recommended.

Great overview of Bangalore, Sushma is great
Sushma is very knowledgeable and took us to ask the highlights. She was very well organized, very easy to communicate with, she was willing to modify the tour to meet our personal needs and to help us manage our jet lag.
We would use her again and highly recommend her.

Brilliant tour of Bangalore
This was just brilliant. Sushma is just so lovely and knew so much about the city. We had some queries before we booked as we were traveling with our six month old baby and Sushma got back to us quickly and understood exactly what we wanted.
We were picked up from our hotel in a big jeep which was spotless and we were able to strap our own baby seat in the back to keep the little one safe. Sushma had lots of snacks in the car and even had little pouches for the baby! We got a really good taste of the city and a nice mix of history and culture. The driver was also so nice-at one point the baby was asleep when we were going to a temple so we left him in the car with the driver who was going to call us if the baby woke. We came back to the car 20 min later and the baby was wide awake chatting away to the driver. So kind and caring. Sushma has a small child herself and helped us with changing, feeding etc and tailored the tour for us so we could really enjoy it.
We highly recommend Sushma and her team and we’ll definitely do another tour when we’re back in Bangalore in a couple of years.
