Long climb up - 3 miles - good instruction, very patient and encouraging. Suggestion - have a person photographing the trip.

What a great day! We did the Rock of Ages tour. We did 3 rappels, each about 150' long, two of them with long sections of free hanging. We had a couple of sections of cold water swimming that couldn't be avoided, but fun! There were several sections of bridging and stemming to avoid water. The lunch was excellent and plentiful. Our guide Mike was outstanding. There was a family of 4 with us that had never done canyoneering and he was so patient and an excellent explainer. The equipment was provided and was in good shape.
We would definitely recommend Navtec and the Rock of Ages tour.

Our family did the canyoneering trip (Rock of Ages) with Mike and Meg and had an amazing experience. We have 11-year-olds who were on their first canyoneering trip and Mike and Meg were excellent instructors and so patient. The trip was incredible as well. We enjoyed the hiking, rappelling, and even the surprise of having to swim through water for portions of the trip. All in all, a great experience.

David was a fantastic guide! He set a good pace, gave breaks when needed, had a wealth of knowledge of the area and facts about the geology of Moab. His knowledgeable, gentle voice was very reassuring when rappelling, I absolutely trusted him with my life. I am a 62 year old female in moderately good shape. This tour pushed me, and I finished tired, but very happy. Thanks, David!

My family and I went to Moab and did two tours with Navtec. We did the 4x4 tour in Canyonlands to Island in the Sky and we did Canyoneering. I am in the travel industry so travel frequently and have used many different tour guides/tour companies and we had such an amazing experience with Navtec. From the time we made the reservation and the helpfulness of the reservation assistants to the trips themselves, everything was perfect.
For the 4x4 tour, our guide Mick took us on an incredible off-road trip throughout Canyonlands. He showed us all the sites, took us to the best photo spots (and even took a LOT of photos for us), and told us some great history and stories. He was fantastic with my two kids and we felt like we got such a great tour of Canyonlands that we would not have gotten if we did it on our own.
For canyoneering, I went with my teen and neither of us had done it before. We went with Meg and Mike. With Mike's experience and their encouragement and confidence, we conquered heights that we didn't think possible (and only freaked out a little bit). My teen who was scared and said that she didn't want to do anymore after the first rappel, ended the day by saying she can't wait to do it again. Feeling like you're with someone who will keep you safe is the most important thing when trying something new (like going over a canyon), and they definitely made us feel that way. Plus, they were incredibly knowledgeable on the parks themselves and just all around, fun people to be with.
When we come back to the area, we would definitely use NAVTEC again and recommend it to others.

Outstanding rappelling trip with Mike. Very thorough, Very safe, and most importantly knowledgeable while us newbies were doing it. So much fun! The hiking was incredible as well—-petroglyphs, arches, and dinosaur tracks. We went off 150 foot wall. I am a little bit scared of heights and Mike made it easy and safe. Great day and great tour.

My family had an awesome and memorable time with our guide Mike in Bow and Arrow Canyon near Moab. At the beginning of the day, my children had some worried looks and nervousness on what was to come. Four repels later, my children got over their fears and were all smiles thanks to the one of best guides I have had the chance to meet. Mike was professional, humorous, knowledgable of the area, and helped the whole family out learning how to repel. Mike orientated everyone to the gear, we put on harnesses, grabbed our helmets and gloves and we were off. The hike was great at our pace. Mike took time to point out all the sights and goings on (including watching the ATV negotiate one of the toughest spots on the Poison Spiker Mesa trail). Mike took our new Christmas picture next to Longbow Arch. He then began learning the ropes literally! I never felt unsafe at anytime. We began with an orientation to the correct gear usage and form. We then progressed to repel with a smaller ledge. We then progressed to 130 ft decent! This is where Mike shined getting helping the kids overcome their fear and complete the repel. We finished up with two more repels. Along the way the boys learned how to freshen up in the desert, my daughters how to ready the ropes. This is my second NAVTEC led adventure. Boy- they deliver an excellent adventure. We are all hooked novice canyoneers now thanks to Mike and NAVTEC!

Able to schedule the day before. Good office staff, however, should have mentioned that the canyoneering trip we chose would get us wet. We did not have the clothing or footwear for this. But, our awesomest guide Mike made some adjustments on the fly and made the half-day trip a great success for us. Mike was very knowledgeable, personable, and talented. My wife, adult daughter, and I could not have hoped for a better experience. We would — and probably will — use NAVTEC and Mike again.

From the initial communication, Navtec was very easy to work with. We’d never done a canyoneering experience before, but were intrigued by the adventure to allow us to see the canyons in a different way.
Katy was our guide for the four hour trip, which took us to a location that was not heavily trafficked. We hiked to the top of the canyon, where we had an amazing view of an arch with no one else around, and then we made our way down via three different canyon wall repels.
Katy was a fantastic guide. Very personable, professional, knowledgeable of the area, and we felt 100% safe at all times with her. Very important when repelling off a canyon wall for the first time!We highly recommend this experience for those who are active and adventurous.

What a fantastic adventure! My 1st time Canyoneering & what a day! Carolyn P was a wonderful guide! Put us right at ease with her confidence & competency. What a delight! She was very knowledgeable & shared so many interesting stories & facts about the area. The 2 mile hike up was challenging for sure but some incredible views we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. The longest repel of our 4 was 130” with a stretch where you free-hang! We felt quite accomplished when we arrived back at the van!
