Lee one of the volunteers gave us an interesting tour and was so knowledgeable! He also made it fun for my 3 year old Grandson, super place

Located at Hancocks Boatyard with its own dock and slipway this small museum tells the history of ship and boat building in Pembroke Dock. Its run by volunteers and they're currently developing the site.
They restore classic boats and a 1908 Lifeboat, Charterhouse (which was stationed in nearby Fishguard) is one of those that you can see craftsmen working on. Great way to spend a few hours with a guided tour.

We were walking part of the coast path which takes you past the entrance to this museum at Pembroke Dock. What an interesting place! We were up against the clock and couldn’t stay long but had an extremely warm welcome by one of the volunteers. He showed us the very first UK lifeboat which was motorised which is being renovated there. They’re making a grand job of it and there’s lots more to see which we didn’t have time for. We are looking forward to going back when we have more time. Plus the entrance is FREE!!

Wonderful little-known museum that catalogues the history of boat and ship building in Pembroke Dock.
Fascinating insights given by our tour guide Lee, whose enthusiasm was infectious.
A must visit if you’re in Pembrokeshire and love unearthing a bit of rarely reported history.

Excellent presentation about the History of Maritime in the Museum as well as I got a great guide while visiting there with amazing explanations about the different museum section. Thank you so much for such a great opportunity to view this museum in my life. This is my heart suggesting for everyone who wants to know about the history of water transportation and the history of boats This is the best place to explore your knowledge and inquisition about the different stages of boats development and how the people started their journey today's world submarine development.

Found this little gem on the estuary by chance, but didn't have time to do it justice. The knowledgeable guide Lee showed me around the various renovation projects underway, including an historic lifeboat, plus the small museum, whilst relating the history of the naval dockyards which once dominated the town. Free admission, with Asda car park close by. I'll definitely return when the weather is warmer!

Located on the banks of the Cleddau River, the Maritime Museum is a great place to visit Pembroke Dock's maritime history with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful volunteers. It is definitely worth a visit!

Small museum with great range of small craft to view in varying degrees of rebuild. Outstanding volunteers always keen to fill in one's gaps of maritme knowledge. Great to visit in all weathers.

We enjoyed an excellent tour by Phil the secretary, he was really interesting to listen to and his depth of knowledge was fantastic! The whole place is very well looked after and it is amazing to see where the boats are built. We definitely recommend you pay a visit if you are near Pembroke Dock.

Great spot on the tidal Miiford. Very interesting with quirky, varied exhibits, at higher tides lrish ferries berth nearby. Good parking adjacent to the dock.. High level bridge nearby with great views over the Milford estuary
