Took young children to see the salmon spawning and they were enthralled. The water is quite shallow in places and there is no problem viewing the fish as they swim upstream. Great trails for walking and the interpretive center is filled with interactive displays. On the day we visited there were a few bald eagles hanging out in the trees and in the past we saw a small black bear fishing for lunch on (fortunately) the other side of the river. If the day is fairly dry you can walk through the conduit to the waterfall. Hint - go early as parking is limited and the spots fill up quickly during spawning season.

Nice walks. It's a shame about the highway you hear. Quite a few elevation meters in total due to up and down. And stairs that require some time to recover. At least I do.

The best thing about this park is the Campground. Big beautiful sites, flush toilets, showers(!), recycling even.
As "rlmptl" said, the signage in the park was almost purposefully misleading. To get to the trailhead for Niagara Falls, one needs to be headed south on CAN1, which bisects the Park, have an idea of where this turnout is, start slowing way down when you see a speed limit sign of 80kmp, and turn into the small, completely unmarked carpark. If you pass the Visitor Center on the left, you've missed it. We wasted an hour with this and gave up. I understand the falls are spectacular, so it might be worth some extra effort. They need less people speeding around the campground in their Ford pickups and more people who know how to create and mount some signage.
The ranger(?) at the campground kiosk, in early June, told us she didn't think the Visitor Center was open yet, so we did not bother with it.

We completed the whole loop seeing all the falls in the area. It was approx 13 km return and we just parked at the carpark off the highway which we found on Google Maps. This loop is hard with steep sections, steps and can be slippery and muddy. We personally loved the main falls near the campground and the hidden Niagara Falls, it was SO AMAZING and fun to explore. The walk can be difficult to follow at times so please use a gps map! It’s quite shaded but still be sun smart and bring heaps of water. It was fun going in the tunnel, it’s short and sweet, bring a flashlight.

I would leave 5 stars for the Niagra Falls attraction once we found it but one to zero stars for proper signage in this park. we entered the park heading north on highway 1 on the right side of the road. Tiny sign you have to look for it and there is road construction. The rest of the experience was TERRIBLE as far as finding where stuff is. WE were looking for the falls. GPS took us to a pull out on the right side of the road travelling south but there was ZERO signs. So we went back to the day use area where there was a big sign saying if you are looking for the falls they are not here and to go to the other location where there are no signs for anything. To get to the other side of the highway pull out you have to go a long way to turn around in busy traffic and road construction.

As we sat at the unsigned pull out where GPS says the falls are too I tried at least 8 different phone numbers to get a human voice that could tell us where the damn falls were and could not get through to anyone. We have now invested one hour. I finally got a human voice from a BC tourism rep in Victoria and told her what was going on and if we would have followed her directions we would have ended up at the pull out with a no signs trail into the miles of nowhere. I phoned her after and told her how we found them for the record she said she would leave a message for the park manager for future travelers not to go through what we did and probably many others who have not posted or said anything.

Thankfully just when we were ready to totally give up a nice older man who had been at the falls before directed us happened to pull in up to this point nobody around to ask but he pointed us to where they were. To our delight they were to the right of the parking area though the creekbed and voila Beautiful Niagra falls. It was like being in another time like Jurassic park so lovely. It was worth the total and complete frustration thanks to BC parks that could have been avoided

We told others of our SH show on getting to them and many had the same issue as handful of people actually found them as well. I guess BC parks dont want anyone to find these falls and i called to complain about it for petes sake at least put a little sign up at the pull out on the west side of the busy highway one where you park that says falls with an arrow to the right. We also discovered that you can get to them from the day use area by following the discovery trail north to the cement tunnel under the highway ...then parks manager take the misleading sign down at the day use area that says the falls are not here !!!

we then ventured to find the campground. You are not allowed to go into the campground to look at the spots and decide if you want to actually pay to stay there. So we did not stay i am not paying for a non refundable camp spot with out seeing where i am camping so you dont get my business

I have been camping at Goldstream Campground with my family and friends for the last three years. Something has changed with park management. There are now F150's circling the campground and micro managing the guests. One of our vehicles was parked on the road for 10 minutes as a truck and trailer were arriving. An F150 stopped to let us know that we were blocking traffic and needed to be off the road (fair enough). We let them know we were right there in case there was "traffic", and they left (the only "traffic" is the parks' F150's lol). Then another F150 showed up and delivered the same message 5 mins later. There is a communication failure on part of management, and there are too many "operators" driving around looking to micro manage.

Later that same afternoon, an F150 pulled up to talk to our children (2 * 8 year olds and a 9 year old) about how they shouldn't wander in the forest off the gravel campsites, for conservation reasons. Ummmm, I bring my kids to the forest so they can play in the forest. Conservation is a great idea, until you tell kids to stay away from nature (let's be honest, no campground is pristine nature, what with the gravel sites and idling F150's). If the area needs rejuvenation, then close the area for a season.

All afternoon and evening these F150's circled the campground like vultures. Not okay. We are adults, and we don't need 20 and 30 something year olds' reading rule books to us verbatim. Not cool.

A friend of mine (who does not have kids) was also staying in the park. They were equally bothered by various park operators during their stay as well. The new management team at Goldstream Campground needs to gain some perspective here. There are grey areas in life, outside the rulebooks. You need to strike a balance that does not involve micro managing your guests.

Lush greenery, waterfalls, river, hiking trails and giant trees are all found here and not too far from Victoria! We enjoyed walking around the park and reading some of the plaques about the plants, flowers and trees. The paths are well maintained and clean. There is plenty of parking but this park can get very busy in the summer.

I liveed in Victoria in 2017, and I´ve been in Goldstream Provincial Park some times. It´s a great place to spend the day.
U can go to Goldstream by bus, leaving from downtown. I recommend planning to leave early, as the bus takes a long time to pass and the journey is relatively long.
There are lots of trails in the park, which requires time to enjoy the time there.
