beautifully wide steady falls. I wish i had it all to myself but this is a place for tubers to go, not just hikers, so many people were on this trail and at the falls. This area is really unspoiled, no big commercial properties, just raw beautiful nature, let’s keep it that way!

further up the path within the GSMNP, Indian Creek Falls has a nice path leading up to a viewing platform. While not as impressive as some of the other local falls, it is nonetheless quite photogenic, and suitable to photos. Grab your pics, and move along so other folks can get theirs.

A relatively small waterfall as they go. But a nice hike from the Deep Creek Campground. It's less than a mile to get there.

Indian Creek Falls is the largest of the three waterfalls in the Deep Creek section of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The trail to the falls is wide , paved, and mostly flat. There is a set of steep steps to get from the trail to the base of the falls. Indian Creek Falls is 0.8 miles from the parking lot, passing Tom Branch Falls at the 0.3 mile point. I'm really glad we hiked to Indian Creek Falls; the trail and falls are picturesque.

This is nice falls. Has short walk off the path that takes one to bottom of falls for good view and pictures. Not real big but pretty. Also enjoyed watching tubers put in on creek. This is so worth the hike.

Stop at this park and see the falls here. It is great. I am so glad we got out of the city to see this.

Indian Creek Falls is located up Indian Creek Falls Trail, which is accessible from the Deep Creek Trail. You will first pass Tom Branch Falls on the way to the trail. The Deep Creek Trail is fairly flat and wide. It does climb slowly in elevation. You pass over a footbridge that crosses the Deep Creek. From this trail you get a good view of the tubers tubing the river. Once you reach the top of the trail, you will see a sign that says tubers are NOT permitted beyond this point. Here is also where the Deep Creek trail meets the Indian Creek Falls Trail. The trail narrows from the Deep Creek Trail, but is still fairly wide. The incline is a little steeper, but not terrible. About 0.1 miles up the trail, you come upon the steps down to the viewing platform for Indian Creek Falls. At this small waterfall, the creek below was littered with fallen trees and the water appeared a little murky in color. NO one was attempting to get into the creek beside these falls. With the elevated viewing platform, I would imagine that climbing down into the creek would take a little effort. We did NOT attempt to get any closer to the falls that the platform. Capturing pictures of the falls here was a little more difficult due to shade from the trees. Also, we did NOT see as many butterflies as we had seen in previous trips so that was a little disappointing.
Overall, a fairly easy hike to a decent waterfall. The hike to the fall is peaceful, however, you will be sharing the trail with ALL of the tubers and their tubes as they walk up to the top to put their tubes in. Also, the way you hiked up the trail to the waterfall is the same way that you hike back out. SO, you get the same view both ways. I would recommend as it is a fairly easy hike. Bring sneakers for hiking, bug spray and sunscreen. Bring tubes (OR rent from local outfitters) IF you want to tube on the trail below the falls. LIMITED parking & no restrooms could be found nearby.

Easy long hike, share the hike with the "tubers", nice views of the river. You'll see two falls- Tom Branch and Indian Creek a little further on down.

The is one of three waterfalls that are easily accessible from the Deep Creek parking area in the GSMNP. This is the one farthest from the parking lot. The trail is wide, mostly flat, and mostly graveled. Past Toms Branch Falls, the trial does begin to climb, but it is not steep. Indian Creek is a beautiful waterfall that is easily reached.

Kind of unexpected but this is right at the end of a trail leading into the area. Sit for awhile and enjoy the sound.

Indian Creek Falls is part of an area known as Deep Creek. This is a section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Deep Creek area has a large picnic area with grills and tables, and even a covered picnic pavilion. There are also restrooms and changing rooms, so bring your swim suit and get in the water. A 2-mile hike through Deep Creek will take you past 3 waterfalls... Juney Whank Falls, Indian Creek Falls, and Tom's Branch Falls. You should probably confine your picnic to the designated picnic area, and not eat along the trail, because you'll want to help keep the creek pristine. I think you will enjoy your time there!

Is there a place to camp anywhere near Indian Creek and Toms Branch Falls!? or near any falls for that matter?

Yes there is a campground right there at Indian Creek. I believe there is place for hookups and primitive (tent) camping. Showers and bathrooms. Tube rentals nearby too.
