Gosh this was quite a crazy experience for me. The wave so high that it can tower over you while on the bridge crossing over to the other side. The suspension bridge didn’t look scary but when on it, it surely was not for the faint hearted but we all love it. Another way to get across is via car lift operated manually. Faster and cost a little bit more, look kind of fun. Before this, getting to Timang Beach is also interesting for adults and kids as it requires four wheels drive jeep through the pebbles and uneven road before you reach Timang Beach. Highly recommended for a visit. Must cross over to the opposite side for a different view.

A track suspended from normal climbing ropes above roaring water now does not exactly give you a high sense of security. That a safety net was retrofitted hardly comes from chance

Pantai Timang island, the gondola ride and rope bridge are WELL WORTH VISITING!! The beach, ocean and scenery are absolutely breathtaking, but half the fun is getting there!
I rented a scooter in Yogyakarta for 110K IDR and drove for around 2hrs, before I needed to park up and rent a jeep (300K) for the last section. The last section of the road is really bad and it's pretty much impossible to drive that yourself unless you have a 4x4 car or dirt bike.

You cannot use gojek and grab here, a bit far from jogja train station. Need to hire driver . Took 1 and half hour to arrive

My day trip will be: taman sari ( be mindful that underground tunnel currently closed) - timang beech gondola ride and bridge - on the way down, eat seafood at local beech and ride speed boats at local price at pantai baron (baron beach), the seafgod is not expensive at alllll . You must try! - ending the trip with
sunset view at obelix sea view.
Fees standardize for local and tourist at timang beach.
Jeep transport 4 km to gondola ride- idr350k for whole jeep 2 ways. Need to ride this jeep, 4 km from drop off point to gondola ride
Go via Gondola- idr 200 k
Back via Bridge- idr 150 k
Picture spots: magnificient and no likited time
They didnt make a lot of money for the hardworking gondola and the bridge workers. Give them some tips as a kind gestures.
Toilet, bathroom, and prayer room available at idr 3k

A hidden gem. We changed to a beaten up jeep, ride about 3km in rabble tracked route through the jungle to get to the beach.
It was a worthwhile. The view was breathtaking. A pity that it was not more accessible even for the locals.
Purchase the gondola ride at Rp 200,000 per person per way, or walk back through the bridge at Rp 150,000 per person, per way.
We checked the whole network to assess the risk. It’s alright, we guessed. The gondola could seat max 2 pax per ride.
Best if you timed it in the late afternoon. Its beautiful.

Pantai Timang di gunung kidul Jogjakarta adalah salah satu objek wisata yang menarik dan sangat populer di kalangan wisatawan mancanegara. Untuk menikmati keindahan pantai Timang pengunjung harus menyewa kendaraan Jeep karena tempat tersebut tidak dapat di jangkau dengan mobil biasa, untuk menikmati keindahan pulau kecil di sebrang pengunjung dapat melewati jembatan atau kereta gantung yg biasa disebut gondola.

A good place to visit with a nice landscape and good seafood. Must have a jeep to get there for about 25 minutes to get to the beach, the caused the road is rocky.

Is it possible to walk to the beach instead of taking the jeep?

Hi. No it’s not possible as it’s a super rocky path m. It’ll take u about 10-15 mins by jeep before you reach the beach. Hope this helps.

Hi bro, sorry if my answer is late, I hope it can help other tourists, I just came from this place and all my trips and activities in Yogyakarta were taken care of by Java Private Tour, I got recommendations from some of my colleagues at the embassy, I admit the service is very good good, because of the recommendation from the embassy I don't doubt it, you can check it on tripadvisor about java private tour and also search it on google

You can’t ride all the way up to Timang Beach. You have to transfer to a Jeep that will take you all the way to the beach. The road is bumpy; riding on bike might not be safe.

Driver was hired for my trip. So I not sure the route. You will need to take jeep to reach Timang beach. As the road condition not allow normal car to drive on it. Hope this helps you.
