We absolutely loved the flower forest and spent a few hours taking in all the lovely views and flowers. This is a great place to relax as it was not busy. The staff where excellent and the lunch was so so good we even drove the next few days afterwards just for the lunch.

Flower Forest

My husband and I recently visited the Flower Forest. It has a cute cafe and gift shop. The staff were extremely nice and even let us borrow an umbrella in case the rain started. They give you a map and you head out. I think that perhaps we missed the peak season for a lot of the flowers but of course, that is no one’s fault-just nature! It did have some very pretty areas and the path we took had some peeks of the ocean. There were also some sculptures and benches if you need a rest.

First experience being in a rainforest and i have to say it really didnt disappoint! There were so many beautiful and unique flowers and trees that are so well cared for, kept tidy but not over manicured. Maps to show you the different routes you can take to be easier or harder (more emmersive) were very good and the view points were outstanding.

Wonderful tropical garden

Beautiful, natural tropical garden, with stunning view to the east coast. The staff were so friendly and the facilities excellent, loved the locally made pottery basins in the washrooms! Great selection of local crafts available in the gift shop too. Wonderful to see plants thriving in their natural habitat, really recommend a visit.

We may of been spoilt as did a tour of Costa Rica the year before so alot of the flowers we had seen before. They give you a laminated map and you walk along the route yourselves. The path is concrete although there are a few extra paths with paving stones you can do it you want to but are basically the same path anyway. The whole walk is supposed to take 45 mins. We did it in 30 mins and didn't feel we walked fast. The flowers were pretty but would of preferred to go to Huntes Garden instead but didn't get time during our stay in Barbados. If your nearby then worth a look but wouldn't go out of your way to go there.

A hidden gem!

We had a lovely couple of hours exploring the Flower Forest. We coupled this with a trip to Welchman Hall Gulley which is very close.

The Flower Forest is a very beautiful and tranquil place with an easy walk and an ID card to help identify the many stunning plants.

We enjoyed freshly made and very tasty sandwiches in the cafe while watching the birds and a mongoose on the terrace.

Beautiful scenery and plants

The flower forest was so beautiful & peaceful with some lovely views of the surrounding area, walk not too strenuous at all and was given a helpful map to get around, so relaxing and special.

Nice stroll through nature

This was a pleasant and peaceful walk through the forest. There weren't really a whole lot of flowers though, so the name is a bit deceiving. Overall the least impressive of all the botanical gardens on the island. Still, a nice relaxing spot to tour and had some nice views. It was nice that they gave you a guide map and ID chart of the plants.

Worth a visit

Beautiful, peaceful and well kept gardens with stunning views over the east coast. Would definitely recommend. Staff friendly too.

Tranquil Piece of Barbados

A lovely couple of hours exploring the Flower Forest. Lots of stunning plants of all shapes and sizes interspersed with many different birds, the occasional mongoose and even a green monkey!

Amazing to see some of the flowers that are house plants in the UK growing wild.

The cafe was great serving cold drinks and a tasty slice of coconut bread which we enjoyed on the terrace under the watchful eye of a family of Grackles who were keen to hoover up our crumbs! The staff were friendly and happy to chat.

Would highly recommend this location to any nature lover. We will definitely revisit the Flower Forest if we're lucky enough to be back in Barbados one day in the future.
