As someone who lived there off and on for 17 years( Maui, Mexico Costa Rica , PR its probably my fave,close second is my namesake Francis {you can get a thai fish pedicure for free}....more parking and picnic tables....but rent a dinghy or larger boat and pull in, then parking not a problem, I brought 2 friends by rubber boat for a proposal, while i hid in the palms....amazing......and despite the stories, his daughter was not hanging from that palm on the beach...they found her from a rafter.....in the house.....but the narrative was, what would you feel like if your father was ultimately responsible for that many deaths...... Been to a lot of awesome local parties there and the sugar mill....catch a ride and point the direction you are going....someone will pick you up... its good for everyone....

One of our favorite beaches and when there is a parking spot we grab it! Only downside is the owner of the rental cottages ….she is very protective of “her” property and the string of lounge chairs and strung up “keep out” signs mars the enjoyment of this beautiful location.

Great Beach Find. If you are unable to secure the 3 spots, park at the top of the hill and walk down. Be careful! Worth the dangerous walk on the road.

This beach doesn't get the use that many others do so it's a great place for an uncrowded visit. Take lunch, etc., with!

The most wonderful chill experience on island. Only 3 parking spots so get there by 7 and head down to a picture perfect beach. LOVED it so much that we went 4 out of 14 days.

I don't know why this is my favorite because they were all beautiful, but this was my fave. It wasn't crowded. No snack bar or drink options.

This beach is away from everything including your cares and troubles. Absolutely breathtaking views and scenery while you enjoy a relaxing splash in pristine waters.

If one of the three parking spots is available, we stop here. We park in front of Oppenheimer's old house and have a great day. The coral is still hurting from Irma but it's a great beach.

All of the beaches are public on St John, it’s a known fact. When we went to visit Oppenheimer, we had been sitting enjoying views for about 2 hours before a rude lady came out & told us we had to move. This was her beach because they rake it and we needed to vacate ASAP. I reminded her that all beaches were public beaches and we shouldn’t have to move. She told me to stop being snarky (???) when right after she told us to vacate she proceeded to smile in a completely snarky tone and ask where we were from? So who is snarkey??? We ended up moving to a better, nicer part of the beach to the left and NO ONE ended up using that area for the rest of the day!!??? Rude!!!!

What a great find! This small beach usually has just a few others on the beach. Only three parking spaces at the gate to the beach — you can park at Cinnamon Bay or Peace Hill and walk over to the beach.
