The tour leaves on the hour and is conducted in English and Serbian. Our guide was very knowledgeable and happily answered questions. The price for the tour is extremely reasonable for the discovery and preservation work being achieved. A great tourist attraction. And we saw our first mammoth skeleton. Highly recommend this tour.

This is well worth the time to visit. It's an active archeological dig and what's being uncovered are remarkable windows into history. Many artifacts from this site are on display at the National Museum in Belgrade. There are even some pre-ice age wooly mammoth skeletons to get close to.
We had a very knowledgeable guide who was happy to take his time with us and answer questions. He had information to share on period lifestyle habits, and some of the pitfalls of poor Roman hygiene. Very interesting stuff.
We had to walk over broken wooden pallets to stay out of ankle-deep mud at one of the dig sites, and there aren't always handrails on ramps and stairs, so wear sturdy shoes.
And use the "Aventure Park" with its climbing and zip-line at your own risk. The zip line broke due to structural termite damage while we were there, resulting in pretty serious injury. I don't think maintenance and safety are top priorities here.

Sito archeologico molto ben tenuto! Tra i migliori mai visti. Guide e reception accoglienti e preparati. Archeologi molto simpatici e disponibili. Possibilità di pernottare e pranzare in loco, stanze e menu semplici a prezzi contenuti

i find this place more interesting than Lepenski Vir and well worth a visit
the tour is guided, depart on the hour. on the day i visited, i was lucky enough to have an english speaking guide.
the tour will take around 1.5-2 hours, depending on how fast your group moves. there are 5 sites to visit, and you will be driving in your own car from one site to another
Site #1: Archaeological tombs decorated with fresco
Site #2: Public baths
Site #3: Amphitheatre
Site #4: Mammoth preserved remains
Site #5: Roman villa

Outstanding architectural site of great significance. Unfortunately the whole experience is terrible. The tour guide speaks incredibly quickly and only in Serbian. No other language options available. I had an excellent duel Serbian/English speaker with us but what little the guide said amounted to less than five minutes in total and spoke so fast, translations all but impossible. Such a shame but a total waste of time as you can’t explore on your own with your own guide you must have a most incompetent and disinterested member of staff with you. The toilets, appear to have been last cleaned with the facility was constructed approx 2000 years ago!

More like a school lecture although the finds are amazing but the presentation as a tour destination is poor. Just don't experience the awe of the Roman age that was ! No safety rails , no proper lighting when passing through the underground ramps
Needs to be more visual and exhibits better presented! It was a disappointment to say the least!

The Viminacum Arcahelogical site is considered to be one of the richest ones in Eastern part of the Balkans. Once a thriving and rich Roman era city, Viminacium has been firstly built as a military city, which was later turned into a vibrant urban center of the region. Due to its fast decay, numerous artefacts, buildings and archaelogical sites have been left unattained for centuries. Today, after numerous excavations (which are still undergoing), the Viminacium Archeological Park offers a comprehensive insight into the everyday life of a Roman city. Make sure not to miss this place, especially if you're into archeology and Roman history!

You definitely must visit and take guided tour which is 5 EUR (6 USD or 600 RSD) and last 90 min.
A coffee shop is available on the spot, with a souvenir shop.
Due to the situation in the World, when you travel to the different cites, you follow your guide with your vehicle, instead with a kids train.
They should have taken that into discount,...but they didn't. And you must wear masks when inside.
Nevertheless, the tour was very good and lot to see from the Roman period.
We recommend it.

We came here on a Viator tour that covered two medieval fortresses and this former Roman city which dates back to 1st century AD. It existed as a Roman city until the 6th century when the Slavic army defeated the Romans.
The park is active and there is research and excavations occurring daily. They have an adventure park nearby to draw families who might want to explore the tombs and relics while the children could probably care less. There is something for everyone here.
They discovered Mammoth bones when they were digging for coal nearby. Now, the mammoth bones are on display as well. It's an unexpected bonus when we came to view the site of a Roman city.

Ciao a tutti!
