Just dropped in unannounced and found everyone very friendly.
Nice views, beautiful cobblestone walkway and buildings.
We purchased a wine tasting option, well a couple to be honest. Then bought some red and white and were on our way.
Restaurant patio was very inviting.
Think we'll stay here next time we pass by.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing visit! The staff are so gracious and customer service focused. It is obvious each and every person is there to pamper you and treat you with the utmost respect and service. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with so many kind and genuine people in the true old fashioned Nova Scotian tradition. We stayed at the Inn and my wife and I loved the spa like bathroom in our suite. The food was beyond excellent and our four course meal had us savour every morsel. Janice, the head waitress, knows how to ensure guests are given the best of the best of the best service. She, and all her staff were exceptional. If the goal is to create return customers, then job well done. We are sure to be back! Thanks heaps!

I had a wine tasting here and really enjoyed all the wines I was given (the Classic Tasting). I liked the red Castel wine so much that I bought a bottle of it home. The tasting room is classy, the wines are delicious, and there's an attractive patio as well. I didn't have the chance to eat at their restaurant but heard that it's very popular and has a great chef. There are also beautiful river and vineyard views, and there's an inn. It's a gorgeous property overall.

Of the numerous wineries of the area our B&B host suggested this is the one to go to if you can only see one. Boy were they right!
Tastefully set among grape vines, this winery is both modern and high end while very pleasantly unassuming and not pompous. The tasting is offered as self guided or with a presenter. Since we had our dog with us we were seated outside on a beautiful deck, with a breeze, shade and amongst luscious greenery.
The self presentation and tasting is done in a very stylish way and we only wish other wineries followed suit: We received flights of reds and whites in a beautifully designed wine glass holder (see pics) along with a tasting notes for each wine, and the recommended order to be tasted. We were able to go through them leisurely with no pressure and ended up buying three bottles that we liked the most!
Following the tasting we continued with a self guided walk through their vineyards which ended in a spectacular overlook of the Grand Pre area,
The whole experience was perfect, from the setting, the service, and the walk. Absolutely a must if you visit the area even for a brief time.

It’s too bad we got the tasting from the only staff member wearing a mask… really????She was hard to hear and understand…. Wines weren’t very good but the apple liquor and the apple ice wine was pretty tasty. Not a very exciting stop.

We allow our staff the freedom to make the choice of whether or not they want to wear a mask while dealing with many customers a day.
Sorry, to hear that you did not enjoy the wines, but are happy to hear that the two Pomme D'Or products were to your taste.

We arrived for an impromptu wine tasting and lunch. There was one other couple tasting when we arrived. In the tasting room we were not offered any information on the vineyard or the wine. We also were not even offered water to sip between tasting the wine. The wines were ok.
We’d read so many great things about the restaurant at this vineyard so we were really looking forward to it. The food was ok but in no way exceptional. The sparkling wine to accompany it was delicious. The day was sunny and warm so we were able to eat in their outdoor area which was beautiful. The service at the restaurant was fantastic.
Overall, I think there are many other vineyards and restaurants in this area to visit so this one could be skipped. From the experience we had, this one isn’t worth it. It seems to have been tagged as ‘one of the top vineyard restaurants’ years ago and is hanging on to that. Not sure how.

My absolute favorite Tidal Bay is Grand Pre. We enjoy the others for sure, but this one is special. I also love the apple liqueur, the ice wine and was smitten by the Millot. Lovely grounds and we lucked out by enjoying our tasting without huge crowds. We have dined here before and it is usually lovely, but we didn't have time this trip. I need to do better with getting names, but the lady that looked after us was awesome.

We decided to stop in and check out Domaine de Grand Pre Winery for a tasting while visiting the area.
The staff was very friendly and the girl that took care of our tasting was quite knowledgeable.
Some of the wines were quite good, but we especially enjoyed the "Pomme d'Or Apple Cream Liqueur" so much that we purchased a couple of bottles.
The showroom/tasting area is very nice and you can purchase their products here.
They also have a restaurant onsite, a seating area outside and the grounds were lovely.
