Completely awful - unbelievably cruel. Absolutely tiny, dirty, outdated tanks for big creatures such as the lobster, turtle and larger fish. The large group of big fish and sharks were swimming around in circles in a very cramped tank with only one rock and a metal object in it. Extremely boring cramped tanks for the animals. I was shocked that the plants inside the tanks (including in the reptile room) were fake!? Absolutely disgusting, this place should be shut down or completely revamped. In addition we had to pay £27 for us two adults for the horrible experience! I wish there was a better way for me to spread awareness of this shocking and terrible place.

Visited yesterday with a 3 year old. It was very quiet which you would expect. The aquarium is clearly old and many of the displays are really boring. There was the odd dead fish in some tanks. Rather over priced at £28 for two adults and a toddler. The real problem is the cafe, we ordered 3 toasted ham and cheese sandwiches which were £7.95 each and took 15 minutes to serve. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins as nothing was provided. There was no cheese, just a poor white creamy spread and a couple of very salty pieces of heavily processed ham. The meal was inedible for all of us and cost us £30!!! Why didn’t we complain? We would have done if there had been anyone around but the food was dropped and the staff disappeared.

This was something on our list to do when we visited Hastings as we wanted to take our son to see the fish.
We had purchased an all day ticket using some Clubcard points so overall only paid £4. I would recommend doing this as it can work out quite expensive as a family.
The all day ticket did mean we could return several times throughout the day which is a massive positive.
The aquarium is really good and very interactive. We adored the walkthrough area where you were underneath the fish. I could have stood there and watched all day.
The front desk did tell us there were talks on but we struggled to find out where they were happening so in the end missed it.
Certainly somewhere we are glad we went to. It was on the smaller side but for young children I would certainly recommend.

Hastings Aquarium is small but was worth a visit – even better was that the ticket was valid for multiple admissions on the day of purchase. Great wet day activity.
N.B. There is a “3 in 1” Super Saver Tickets which cover Smugglers Adventure, Aquarium and Hastings Castle and allow 7 days to visit all three attractions.

We visited this with our young grandson on Tuesday and he thoroughly enjoyed his visit as did we.
It’s nice that under 3s go free and that you can come and go as many times in the day as you wish.
Lovely well cared for fish and the aquarium was spacious and clean.
A good experience for young children easy to walk around.

We had high expectations for this but found it small and dated, a lot of the tanks were small, especially the one with the large turtle in,. All in all quite disappointing..

We visited with our 17month old on Friday afternoon. The ticket price seems high for such small facilities as we was done within 40mins but you can use them all day. There is a small walk through tunnel which is good. They have various feeding times too that u can attend. Our little one enjoyed the fishes so was worth it for us but could work out pricey for the average family!

Rated it 3 out of 5 because we used Tesco Clubcard vouchers, otherwise it would be two. Bit overpriced and doesn't take long to get round but what we saw was good but could do with more variety

I love that one ticket let’s you in and out all day! It meant we could take our time and see what we wanted in our own time and come in and out as we pleased. We enjoyed the feeding talks; very informative and interesting. The archer fish were a firm favourite in our family!

Lovely little aquarium, lots of different fish and some reptiles too.
I think it’s a bit pricey for what it is but we had a lovely time.

We have several varieties of sharks from our Black TIp Reef Sharks in the main ocean display to several native sharks including the endangered Angel Shark.

Hi, I have an Assistance Dog who does medical alerts. He has a vest, patches and a lead clearly stating he's an Assistance Dog. Would he be allowed into the aquarium?

I’m really annoyed, as Ive just dropped my children off to the aquarium and told them I’d wait for them in the cafe as I’m disabled and needed to sit down, can you tell me why, with no many dietary requirements these days, you, 1, don’t have soya milk, and 2, don’t have decaffeinated coffee..??.... I was stunned..... it’s not difficult to stock these things, the response I got from the staff was pretty poor too, I’ve had to walk into Old Town just to get a coffee in the rain, and then am having to walk back again....... Not impressed at all ...

is the place wheel chair friendly? and do they always have balloons up? daughter allergic to latex so cant be around balloons.
