A fantastic venue with an intimate non crowded atmosphere. A big shout out to the stewards who were absolutely amazing 🤩

Absolutely stunning course with fantastic facilities. Easy to find, easy to park and what a view driving in! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and nice to see that they thank customers for attending when they leave. Nice touch. Great variety of food & beverages on offer. We liked that even though the course is huge, everything is quite compact: the Aga Khan stand, pre-parade/parade ring, bookies ring, champions hall. A great day/evening out for all ages. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back soon!

Fantastic racecourse. We were there for the Irish Champions Festival which is a great experience. The course waseasy to find, easy to park, beutiful parade ground, It is quite compact compared with other large courses so nothing is very far to walk. We had a seat in the main stand by the finishing line and access to a smart bar, all for the price of general ground entry.

We attended the 1000 guineas in May celebrating our friends wedding anniversary, every part of the day was absolutely stunning.
We have been to the course pre covid many times, and thought it was one of the best race courses we have attended across the UK and Ireland, but our latest visit eclipsed all the previous times.
From driving down the approach road to exiting the course at the end of the day just blow us away.
Whoever designed this revamp should be applauded, everything from the parade ring to panoramic views of all facilities was totally focused on the customers.
Every member of staff could not do enough for everyone we spoke to on the day. On leaving the course it was made even more special, as we exited a member of staff driving a golf type buggy stopped and requested he gave the 5 of us a lift back to the yellow car park, which was only 200 yards away, what about that for customer service.
A special thanks goes to Paul Keane who came and spoke to us at the end of the day, spending a good 20 minutes with us discussing the day and the course in general. Thank you Paul.
Very special place with very special people, making it a wonderful day.
We will be returning again next year and are all ready looking forward to it.

We stayed in Dublin for 11 days in April 2023. We spent a great Sunday at the Curragh Racecourse. If you are a fan of horse racing or just love horses and a beautiful day outdoors the is a terrific experience. We have been to Saratoga and Santa Anita and Belmont and the Curragh has a certain charm the transports you back through the history of racing. The at the track and the facilities provide incredible comfort for race goers. It only takes about an hour to County Kildare by car or bus or train, Dont go to Ireland without spending a day there.

Have been going here for years. And the past few weeks I have been dealing with a bartender in the lillywhites bar his name is Chris or Christopher and all I can say he is one of the best to deal with as he can make you feel welcome no matter how busy he is and will always welcome you with a smile and a chat. You only need to order once and on return to the bar he already has your order started you don't see much young bar staff take interest in the customers anymore like he dose. I personally think alot of the staff should learn from this man. Hopefully he will see this. And thank you John Tracy Sean Susan Kevin and Sarah.

My apologies for not replying to review sooner, however I wanted to thank you very much for your review and to let you know that I took a screen shot of your review back in October and shared it with Fitzers Catering (Curragh catering contractors) management and asked them to make sure that Chris saw it. We haven't visited for a few years, the new stand is a triumph. We used the free shuttle bus from Kildare town, there was a Food Festival on for the weekend, another triumph, the soft seats in the stands, all this before we enjoyed the racing. Excellent, thank you.

The tour was conducted by Paul Keane who described the history of the Curragh Racecourse and how it became one of the world's greatest venues for thoroughbred racing.
We spent time in the jockeys changing room and also their lounge where they spent time between races. We learned about the weight system and how technology has improved the equipment and reduced the weight of the jockeys apparel and safety gear.
The tour also spent time on the track, watching horses at work. finishing up on the top floor of the grandstand.
Paul was an excellent guide who. gave an insight into raceday from the jockey's owners' and trainers' point of view. He did all this and still found time for questions.
I would recommend this tour to anybody with any interest in racing, or interested in the history of thr Curragh Plains as a whole

Visited The Curragh (which is Ireland’s leading flat racing course) as part of a day in Kildare doing all sorts of stuff linked to horse racing … it is the home of all five Irish classic races
We booked the “Behind the Scenes” tour which runs on certain non racing days….we were the only two folk booked on the tour and when I discovered that I assumed we might politely have our money refunded and offered a chance just to wander about
That was not the case at all… we basically had a personal guided tour led by Paul Keane a former trainer…tour was meant to last two hours.. ran about two and a half and felt like it was about twenty minutes… for a racing nut like myself it was just fantastic.. Paul was just incredible…knowledgeable, engaging and full of brilliant tales ( some of which confirmed what I thought of some well known racing folk !! )
The others reviews give you an idea of what is covered … the jockeys’ room, the parade ring, the saddling boxes , the views from the top of the stands …just absolutely fascinating stuff … highly highly recommended …if you have any interest in racing ( and even if you don’t!!) then you will thoroughly enjoy this !

A fantastic racecourse, with stunning views and fantastic first class facilities, you can get up close to the action.
Drinks were reasonably priced, food was a little on the expensive side, but that didn't detract from what a fabulous racecourse it is, staff friendly and laid back, just how you want it, cant wait to return on the near future.

Travel from maynooth to curragh racecourse on Saturday what are all traveling options as we have no vehicle, taxis are expensive about 40 min drive I believe
