We contacted Progression Ski & Snowboard School about 6 weeks before we went and instantly got a reply even though it was out of normal working hours. The communication from that point forward was fantastic and they walked me through all the options that were available.
The lessons were then brilliant and we split them into sessions for the kids and one for the adults given they learn very differently, which was advised by the team.
Everyone loved Frederico our tutor and was a great basis for everyone to really develop and enjoy skiing all week.
We decided to book an extra 1-2-1 lesson whilst we were there and again the communication was instant and excellent.
We were a family of 8 with 4 adults and 4 kids aged 5-8 and would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I recently had 4 days (4 hours a day) of lessons with Ken, the owner of Progression Ski and I can’t rate him highly enough. Ken’s style is very calm and encouraging and he’s got just the right level of chat on the lifts!
We can both ski to a reasonable degree but wanted to push ourselves on a bit. Ken did a great job of gently introducing us to progressively more challenging runs, some of which would previously have been well out of my comfort zone. He did it in such a manner that it’s only with hindsight that I even realise that’s what he was doing!
A great experience all round, highly recommend.

I am writing this review after using the school in 2023 and 2025. The school is extremely well organised, we received an email a week before arrival advising my daughter Zara how to prepare and what to expect. Everyone was friendly whilst ski instructor Lorenzo was attentive and taught my daughter how to ski on red and black slopes in 3 days. Lorenzo would approach me after every lesson to tell me how Zara was progressing , this was nice touch as I didn't expect it. Zara also met new friends and absolutely loved her time with Progression team.

We came across to Progression ski just by chance, we had no reference about them and it was a grateful surprise. My 5 year old son had lessons with them for 6 days every morning in Val d'Isere and it was the best decision we could ever make. Caring and loving instructors, we met two of them and resulted being one of the best we had. Totally recommend this ski school and will definitely come back to them next time!

We had ski lessons with Progression in Val d’Isere this winter for our 9yr old, our 12yr old and for me and my oldest son (15yrs). Booking and pre-arrival information spot on. No confusion about meeting points, instructors, or levels. The kids and I all had really valuable instruction (the lessons are 4hrs which are much better than the usual 3hrs) and really advanced our skiing. Kids had a great time too. Highly recommend.

Progression Ski were excellent from start to finish. Easy booking process via the website and very good comminication throughout. Very helpful with advice about local restaurants/services and even made bookings for us. Our ski instructor Woody was prompt, friendly, kind and gave us lots of good advice over our 4 hour private lesson that set us up for the week. Would definitely recommend to others.

Progression are a first rate outfit. I have been using them for about 10 years now and they have taught both of my children and my nephew and niece. I have had a few refreshers too.
Their instructors are (nearly all) young Italian men who seem to really love teaching children. They find the right sort of balance between being kind, while not mollycoddling, and being fun.
This is - how can I put this diplomatically - in sharp contrast with my experience of other nationalities in the mountains. (And yes, I know i shouldn’t stereotype)
I couldn’t recommend Progression more highly.

An excellent and efficient booking system. Giorgio taught myself and our two teenage children for two days. He was patient, polite and encouraging with us all. His experience of the slopes and what we were capable of helped us feel confident in our own abilities. He was an excellent teacher and we would definitely recommend!

Our family had a great experience with Progression, from initial contact through our day on the slopes. Giorgio gave us a great tour of the entire Tignes/Val D'Isere ski area that was perfectly suited to the our abilities, with some very helpful technical and safety tips along the way. Completely recommend.

We booked a private lesson for six days for the 4 children in our group (ages 11-14). The instructor, Federico, was absolutely brilliant. So engaging and fun, and the children really loved his lessons. He met them and dropped them back to our location of choice each day, and kept us updated with great photos and videos of the children throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble for him and all the children progressed so much with their skiing. Thank you so much, we will definitely book with Progression Ski again!

Hi Justine. Our groups tend to run Monday to Friday from 9am to 12 noon. Sometimes they start on a Sunday. We have a maximum of 4 people in our adult group lessons.
