Hier gibt's das volle Package. Tolle Trails, sehr gutes Guiding (Andy kennt die Insel wie seine Westentasche), sehr gute Werkstatt und gut gewartete Leihbikes.

Wir waren wieder bei Andy und Silvi für eine Woche zum Biken alles war wieder bestens Organisiert von den Touren bis zum gemeinsamen Abendessen.

Wieder einmal eine Hammer-Bikewoche auf La Palma. Die Bremsbeläge und die Reifen sind durch, die Protektoren staubig und das Lächeln bleibt für Wochen eingebrannt.
Neben unseren Lieblingstrails hat uns Andy wieder neue Highlights gezeigt und die Touren nach unseren Wünschen ad-hoc zusammengestellt. Dank den flexieblen Taxishuttels machten wir die meisten Höhenmeter (aus eigener Kraft) auf den zwei Stufen von der Piazza ins Cafe Eden 😎
Abgerissene Ausfallenden, ausgerissene Pedale, und Bremsprobleme an unseren privaten Bikes waren jeweils im nu gefixt (weiss der Geier wo Andy die Ersatzteile so schnell aufgetrieben hat)!
Die Kollateralschäden an Rücken und Beinen hat der Hausmasseur genauso schnell gefixt. An dieser Stelle sei erwähnt, das dieser nicht nur wohltuend massiert, sondern Verspannungen lösen konnte, welche mein Physio seit Wochen erfolglos behandelt hat! Eigentlich ist diese Massage schon die Reise Wert.
Herzlichen Dank Andy und Silvy für eine unvergessliche Bikewoche!

Sympathisches Team, individuelle Planung je nach Erfahrungsgrat, gute Unterkunft, top Locations für "lecker" Esser, für jeden individuell etwas dabei...
Leider hatte ich am zweiten Tag, mir mein Schlüssel gebrochen, wurde aber sehr gut zum Krankenhaus begleitet und da ich kein Spanisch spreche, ist einer von Team die ganze Zeit bei mir geblieben.
Ich wurde also sehr gut versorg, bis ich ein früheren Flug bekommen habe.
Vielen Dank noch mal dafür.
Und bis zum nächsten mal😉

Ich bin bereits seit 2011 Dauergast auf La Palma, tourenmäßig war alles dabei von Cappuccino, Enduro bis hin zur Gruppe "Der Verrückten" . Der Leistung- und Erfahrungsgrat wurde kontinuierlich über die Jahre entwickelt..., wobei der größte Schritt im letzten Jahr von Andy provoziert wurde.. ;-) "Gruppe der Verrückten"
Es ist immer wieder eine Gaudi mit Andy und den Jungs die herausragenden Trails zu ballern... Im Hintergrund gestützt von de sympathischen Silvia, die für alle Anregungen und Probleme ein Ohr hat...
Fazit: Immer wieder gern!

I had a fantastic time with Andy, Silvi, Dan x 2, Lili, David and the rest of the MountainRide team.
For the last 2 years I went riding in Madeira, so this year I wanted to try something different. I had heard a little bit about the Canary Island but researching them for mountain biking was difficult because almost all of the bike tour companies are owned by Germans and catering to the German speaking market.
I came across the MountainRide La Palma website and was attracted to the company because it looked professional and had the bonus of running a new bike shop out of the same building where they offer accommodation. Plus, I was stoked they are a Santa Cruz dealer as I ride a Bronson and it was actually cheaper for me to rent it from MountainRide La Palma than to pay the airline bike fees...and I didn't have to carry my bike around!
The Team
Most of the team spoke really good English. And most importantly (well, after the quality of riding) was that they are awesome people. I was travelling solo and on several occasions they invited me out to dinner which was fun to be immersed in the local culture. Silvi and Andy really went out of their way to make sure I was having fun...on the trails and in regards to the accommodation. Andy's parents are from Germany but he grew up on the island and knows everyone! And he loves biking. He knows the place like the back of his hand.
Speaking of the accommodation (Casa Sansofe), it was great! Very new and clean. There's laundry facilities and a full kitchen which has lots of extras (like salt, pepper, sugar etc). There's a bike wash station.
The Riding
The riding was great! Often the terrain is loose volcanic rock which takes some getting use to. And the pine needles that cover the forest floor can be deep and slippery (though only in certain times of the year). The views are stunning. Some of my favourite trails were the ones where you are riding through natural halfpipes for kilometres and kilometres...it was crazy! How would I compare it to Madeira? I probably liked the trails a bit more in Madeira, however, what La Palma has that Madeira does not, is the sandy beaches. It was sooooo awesome biking wicked trails and then to end the day swimming at a black volcanic sand beach, sipping on cold drinks. So sick!
Transportation
I'm very much an independent traveller and like to do my own thing. So I thought trying to organize my own taxi to MountainRide was the way to go. Wrong. They can organize that for you with their own vans and it NOT more expensive...and so much easier.
It really makes sense to just book everything (bike/tours/accom/transfers) with MountainRide La Palma.
In summary, you should definitely go riding in La Palma and definitely book with MountainRide La Palma. They tick all the boxes: super high end bike rentals, great clean accommodation, wicked trails and super friendly and knowledgeable guides and staff.

We rented two brand new tracking-bikes. The guy who helped us, showed us the best way to the roads with less traffic and hot spots #MustSee
In short: great service, nice/safe bikes, felt very comfortable to rent bikes from them.
