Best coffee shop in North Norfolk
sept. de 2021
Very, very good coffee shop: cakes are excellent (especially the wonderful cheese scones), and they went the extra mile preparing a London Fog drink for us. Craft shops are really nice, packed with lots of quirky gifts.

Nice little area, handmade goods available but on the expensive side. Coffee shop and toilets available too. There are gardens too but a small charge for those.

Peacocks everywhere
sept. de 2021 • Parejas
We were staying in North Walsham and called in on our way back from the coast. We wandered around the various craft shops, which were all very tasteful, and then went into the garden, entry to which costs £2.50 via an honesty box. The gardens were well laid out and beautifully kept, with extensive lawns, flower beds and ponds. Afterwards we went into the Artisan Cafe for a sandwich and a cake - very good. Everywhere you went, there seemed to be peacocks.

Could not be more reasonable

Enjoyed a decent light lunch. A fair price for the menu choice. Friendly and helpful staff. Intend to return later in the month.

A visit is a must!
ago. de 2021
Visited the Artisan Cafe for lunch on the off chance there would be a table and we were lucky! We were met by the owner who couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. All the waiting staff were equally friendly. The food was delicious and good size portions. The coffee was also good - the large cappuccino was perfect for my friend and the small latte was just right for me, especially after the delicious mac n' cheese! I have now got a loyalty card, so will be back again!
This cafe only opened in February 2020 and considering they have had such a worrying start, it has a warm and buzzing atmosphere and you feel it has been open for years!

"Saved by the cake"
ago. de 2021 • Familia
We arrived and hadn't booked a table, they were pleased to find us one and did but were not impressed that we only wanted coffee and cake.
We ordered 1 x mocha (ok ish) 1 x white mocha (it looked and tasted like a normal mocha) oat milk hot chocolate that was soooo hot nearly volcanic... and 1 x latte served in a small cappuccino cup... tasted more like a flat white and not a latte.. (perhaps purchase some latte cuos/glasses) the cake we had was lovely... as my daughters hot chocolate was sooo hot we were still sat at the table we had all finished she hadn't when the server started clearing our table making us feel rushed, think they wanted us out to make way for a lunch table spending more money!!!!

The other lovely part was the very welcoming/friendly lady think her name was Emily in the gallery on the right as you come out of the cafe..

Fantastic!

This is a three part review:
The Artisan Cafe - brilliant! Greeted at the door by a lovely guy who instantly made us feel like valued customers. Sat outside and waited in an attractive courtyard for our scones with cream and jam (of course!). Wow! These were gorgeous. One of the best scones I've eaten and that's saying a lot. I was also delighted to see a coke float sign at the till. Couldn't resist and sat in the sun remembering my childhood. Fabulous.

Craft shops - they have many outbuildings but unfortunately many were closed (Covid related I guess). The ones we popped into were great. Loved Gallery 10 for their very original fabric handbags.

Gardens - for a small entrance fee we 'popped' into their gardens. We were there two hours! Several acres of lawn, well stocked beds, ponds surrounded by a sea of orange thanks to masses of Crocosmia, Peacocks...... hubby was in his element with his camera.

Really recommend this place but beware - you may well be there a lot longer than anticipated!!

Delicious lunch thank you

We’ve never been here but saw an article in the East Anglian newspaper so decided to go for lunch. As we arrived a male peacock was displaying so a good start. The staff were lovely and gave us details of specials for the day. I had arancini balls on pea purée with blue cheese sauce it was the best meal I have had since lockdown lifted. My husband had the burger which was also tasty. We took away two blondies to have at home with coffee and they too were delicious. We will be back :)

Visited here on bank holiday to escape the coast madness (whilst holidaying in Blakeney) and a fab quaint find! The Artisan Cafe offers a great choice in food and the service was fabulous! Carla was friendly and made you feel welcome. I had the ceasar salad which was tasty with lovely anchovies and lots of quality chicken. The topping of Parmesan crisps were awesome! My partner had the crab sandwich which was tasty ana well presented. Gardens small beautiful.

A great little gem in the countryside. Artisan Cafe served us a quality brunch for four, we purchased handmade locally crafted gifts from the galleries and enjoyed a walk in the beautiful manicured gardens which cost £2.50 entry.

Would have been a 5 star review but for the owners resident dog Tosca. We abided by the sign stipulating that dogs must bbe kept on a lead. But the owners ddog Tosca ran free, interrupting our walk in the gardens, jumping up us when we ate our brunch and bothering our dog.
