Nice to look around on our Norfolk visit. We we staying up the road at abbey farm and this along with the Cafe were great to have on our doorstep

Beautiful unaffiliated private garden renowned for its peacocks
You place a donation £2.50 in an honesty box and its these private high end gardens with their authenticity and lack of commercialism you want to survive and succeed
In early July there was a wide range of summer flowers in bloom as a backdrop to the numerous meandering peacocks - a sight to behold

A really lovely craft centre, just a few individual shops but a huge variety of crafts to buy and also watch being made. Definitely worth a visit and a coffee at the Artisan cafe!

What a lovely surprise. We decided to visit our old friend Lee at the Artisan Cafe. Lovely courtyard with a positive vibe, full of hustle and bustle. We only wanted a snack so opted for the seafood flatbread which was very tasty.
For the ladies there are small workshops and a gallery, gentlemen, the Beer is cold.
We were in a hurry today but apparently one should visit the gardens. However, we did meet a beautiful peacock on the way out.
Constructive comment, I didn’t see a local beer on the drinks list, maybe an idea ?
We’ll be back for more than a snack.

The cafe was very busy, we had homemade soup and toast, which was very tasty, the staff were very friendly. There weren't many shops open yet as it was probably too early in the season. The gardens are pleasant to stroll around, with peacocks everywhere!

Very, very good coffee shop: cakes are excellent (especially the wonderful cheese scones), and they went the extra mile preparing a London Fog drink for us. Craft shops are really nice, packed with lots of quirky gifts.

Nice little area, handmade goods available but on the expensive side. Coffee shop and toilets available too. There are gardens too but a small charge for those.

We were staying in North Walsham and called in on our way back from the coast. We wandered around the various craft shops, which were all very tasteful, and then went into the garden, entry to which costs £2.50 via an honesty box. The gardens were well laid out and beautifully kept, with extensive lawns, flower beds and ponds. Afterwards we went into the Artisan Cafe for a sandwich and a cake - very good. Everywhere you went, there seemed to be peacocks.

Enjoyed a decent light lunch. A fair price for the menu choice. Friendly and helpful staff. Intend to return later in the month.

Visited the Artisan Cafe for lunch on the off chance there would be a table and we were lucky! We were met by the owner who couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. All the waiting staff were equally friendly. The food was delicious and good size portions. The coffee was also good - the large cappuccino was perfect for my friend and the small latte was just right for me, especially after the delicious mac n' cheese! I have now got a loyalty card, so will be back again!
This cafe only opened in February 2020 and considering they have had such a worrying start, it has a warm and buzzing atmosphere and you feel it has been open for years!

Hello!
Is this open over the Easter Weekend? We are thinking of coming on one of the days, maybe Friday.
Is it a good time of year to come? Will things be open and there be bulbs/early flowering plants in the gardens?

We are all independent businesses here at Alby and it is up to the owner of the cafe how he chooses to decorate his space. He is striving to achieve a quirky and memorable environment that is different to anywhere else. There is alternative seating in the snug and the courtyard, both of which are uncluttered.

Hi Barry, yes we are very dog friendly. Many of us have our own 'shop dogs' with us. it's just the cafe that doesn't allow dogs in, understandably, but there are picnic benches in the Upper Courtyard if you want a coffee or lunch. We hope to see you soon.
