This temple is in Hosur, which is around 45 km away from Krishnagiri. on the from Krishnagiri to Bangalore, take a left around 2 km before Hosur Bus Stand. You may use google map to reach the temple. On a small hill, the temple is located. A very old temple, but a great and gigantic.

We visited this place on 2nd day of our trip. There was huge crowd of people as many are aware about it. I liked this place as when we entered the temple, I was feeling very positive energy. From the temple, you can have good view of the city also.

It is a Shiva temple atop a small hillock near Hosur bus stand on Salem Bengaluru national highway. It is one of the oldest temple having self manifested Linga along with other deities. Temple offers great view of city and good place to meditate

We just ventured out impromptu, following Google maps.
The temple is closed at noon and reopens in the evening, around 4:30 PM. So, we had a good drive, crossing Hosur, having lunch on the Hosur Krishnagiri stretch, then turned back to reach the temple.
The temple is just about 500 metres from the highway.
There is a small temple where you can park the car and walk up the steps to the main temple.
Or drive all the way up and park the car right beside the temple.
There are quite a few shops where one can buy the pooja-saamagri. They also double up as shoe-keepers.
Archana fees is just INR 5/- and is optional.
We found a long queue. There must have been 300-400 people visiting. The priests manage the crowd by calling a batch of people in at a time.
Inside, the main Shiva idol is beautifully lit around using lamps and is inside a cave like structure. The queue was only for this darshan. For all the others, queue was not needed and one is free to pray to the myriads of gods including Ganapati, Parvati, Saraswati, Lakshmi, the navagraha, even Varuna and Indra, etc.
The architecture is of a typical south Indian temple with nice pillar work. There is also a water tank.
As an addition, the small Hosur town is visible from atop and it is quite colourful with different coloured houses. Even a small lake is visible. It was also a Poornima night and a nice full moon was seen as we came out of the temple.
Overall, it was a very nice visit and experience. The only thing I didn't like was when a person collected INR 10/- for parking and didn't provide any receipt.

This is first temple of Shiva which I have seen on a hilllock, temple is in heart of Hosur city. You can either walk of drive upto the temple. Temple amidst the lot of crown and business city right near to the NH 7. Chandra Choodeshwara means the Lord who adrones Chandra on his hair. View of the city atop is hill is worth seeing in the night fall.
