We took part in a mudflat hike yesterday.
All right, for the fact that it was extremely stormy that day, you cannot blame the operators and that was probably the reason why we could only guess the seals from a huge distance.
Otherwise, however, it was simply poorly organized.
The outbound journey took place in a crowded, ancient, probably sorted-out regular bus. Then we changed into a boat. It was totally windy and we all froze despite 20 degrees, but all participants sat on top of the deck. Only the three guides stood in the windless cabin at the front. It was only when we changed into the small boat after an hour of draughty sailing that I found out that there would have been enough seating and even a bar below deck. Unfortunately, nobody mentioned or offered that. Neither of us asked. There were several children on board, some without windbreakers. I find that irresponsible.
At all, only the most necessary was spoken and explained.
So when we finally got to the mudflats, the whole action was to run through mud against the wind for an hour. The most important information about this was that one guide at the front and one at the rear
leaves. Once they stopped and the people who happened to be standing in front could see something. Three crabs were taken out of a plastic bag and shown. Then another dead eel and two small fish. Animal cruelty, actually. Unfortunately, we have not seen or been made aware of mudworms or their traces.
Overall, one had the impression that the program is simply played completely without empathy, regardless of the participants. A robot could have done the same. Friendly tips? Misrepresentation.
By the way, there are plenty of old shoes on the farm that you can borrow for the tour. Nobody tells you that, of course, but you can see it.
We were neither properly welcomed nor farewelled. Too bad, especially in bad weather it should be the guides who motivate people.
Oh yes, when we reached the beach there was a booze. That was good!

Heel leuke middag met mooie wadwandeling. Lekker in de blubber met uitleg over de krabben en visjes die er leven. Daarna nog lekkere patat met kibbeling gegeten. Aardige mensen!

The description was a bit misleading. Reception with coffee and cake turned out to be a cardboard cup with weak coffee and a Maria biscuit.
There were too many people on the boat. It's kind of fun for kids.

A very great and varied experience.
Even the bus ride to the port in the museum bus was great.
The shipping also seals and landing in the mudflats was great.
The mudflat hike was the highlight. We have seen crabs, starfish and much more.

The mudflats were fantastic and the guide André very informative, was fine.
We were with a group of 8 people and have seen 2 seals.
It was a pity that it was not communicated in advance that we had to walk half an hour to the home location after the trip on the mudflats.
For me, over 60 wearing surf shoes, this was not a very nice experience and after days I still had problems with my back from walking on the hard surface.
Is it an idea to let us know in the mail, so that one can bring sturdy shoes in a backpack e.g. ?!

What a wonderful experience and what a fine company. We had the wadden arrangement with fish and chips. It was definitely worth it. The fun cruise and the trip with the motorboat to get to the mudflats. Then the guides who know what they're talking about. The children who were there could ask anything. And at the end for the kids a sweet and the adult a herb bitter.
And then the fish and chips tasted delicious.

With Shrimp cutter the WR 117 on the mudflats to fish shrimp and spot seals. It was a beautiful day and we saw a lot of seals. The shrimp harvest was cooked after reeling, we were explained how to peel them and afterwards we were all given a bag. Delicious!
