Trishundha Ganpati - Ganesha in Datta Swarup with three Shundas.
Very old Hindu temple, build in 1754 with a unique Ganesh idol which has 3 trunks, 6 hands and is setting on peacock. Beautiful craved temple, a must for everyone.
Sad that it has been hidden between a concrete forest and is less known to most of the people.

This is a 250 year old temple.... still in very good condition and maintained quite well!! There was a pujari doing his daily rituals there too.... It is a bit difficult to find in the maze of small streets in Somwar Perth but the local people guide you to it quite well!! The history of the temple is also written there in Marathi !, wish there was an English translation too!
The uniqueness of this temple is that it’s the only temple of Ganesha which depicts him with three trunks!! There is also an underground portion which opens only once a year on a special day !!

This temple is in between lots of buildings, could be hard to find but glad I made it after circling around in the lanes for quite a time :)
It is an ancient temple said to be more than 250 yrs old.Trishund Mayureshwar- only temple with Lord Ganesha having 3 trunks and riding a mayur(Peacock), its rare to find temples like this.Temple premises are clean, Thanks to the Temple Trust! Architecture is nice, they could use better lighting inside.Levelling the floor could make it better. One thing I heard is that you will have to pay a certain amount if you need to click pics, This was told to me by a so called member of the trust, she told me its still under discussion and was rude and warning me not to take pictures of the temple. However , there was no notice put up as such in the premises,so I clicked the pics anyway :).In turn had to hear harsh words from the lady though .I dont know how true is that but I hope they put up some notice board for the visitors to inform about this.
But certainly temple visit is highly recommended!

You can see excellent architecture at entrance and temple walls. It is located in Somwar peth and can be reached by bus and some walking. Temple is quite old and has history too. Ganesh idol is very unique and has 3 sonds thats why name Trishunda temple. Underground basement is open only once in year to see samadhi below temple.

You cannot miss the Gurupournima as this temple's basement opens only on that date. The basement is filled without water at all times

This temple is a originated from a very ancient time. It is also known as tge place where Lord Ganesh was in 'Samadhi'. Every year once the actual place where Lord Ganesh was in'Samadhi' is open for devotees. It is a place worth visit but in my view only once. The temple is in a bit mess and it is located in very small lanes.

One of the best Ganesh Temple in Pune city. The sculpture quality is very different & unique. In one story on the wall crafted- the rhino leg which tighten with rope & english solders push him away. This is a indication that England is entering in India with power. This temple was built in 17 th century. Only problem with this temple is it was located in the heart of city creates parking problem.
