Pay the non-English speaking gatekeeper $20k who attempts to warns you in broken English about the snakes, bats and local gangs that lurk in and around the haunted site. The remains of the abandoned amusement park is now home to ephemeral graffiti entwined with jungle vines and moss, that creates the intrigue of what once was. Wonderful photo opportunities for art lovers, this would make an amazing film set. Best visited in a couple, just in case one of you gets spooked by a flying creature (like I did!)

18 months ago I was also here for a visit. And I was curious what artworks with the beautiful graffiti on the walls were still on display.
Now there are other artists working on redecorating all the beautiful walls with a different image. People were in the process of painting over the old and beautiful works of art, because they have to make way for new works of art. The paint cans are still on the floor.
I find this new result less. But still, it's beautiful and artful to see.
Taman Festival is fun for lovers of "urban" photography and is highly recommended to wander around here for an hour!

Beach fee $2,000/ person
Entrance fee $20,000/person
Lots of fun and interesting art work.
We took flash lights to see better in the upstairs in the theatre and walking through parts by the mountain.
Lots of mosquitos take bug spray.

Spent 1 hour here wondering what had happened and imagining what could have been. I did not feel particularly spooked. Some interesting graffiti but I was more interested in how the trees were pushing their way through the rubble and brick work. Entrance fee of course of 20 000IDR applied although I am unsure of how official it is.

Was worth a look, but wouldn’t need more than 30 minutes here.
Amazing to see it has just gone to ruin and left after 20 years vacant.
Great mural graffiti artworks if you are into that sort of thing.
Be careful though- you will be eaten alive by mosquitoes, even after you have sprayed aeroguard! Take extra

Taman Festival Bali, Padang Galak
BEAUTIFUL AND CREEPY Abandoned Abandoned theme park from the 1990s is located in Sanur Bali Indonesia that became a ghost town.
It is surrounded by jungle and trees taking over the structures. Now it has graffiti decorating its structures, graffiti park now.
It is said it was struck by lightning on Friday 13th and had financial and land issues they couldn’t come back from it.
It is said that the Balinese people believe this abandoned site is occupied by spirits and thought to be one of the most haunted places in Bali, attracting spirits from all over the island.
They say it’s a ghost town and there are spirits in there. I believe in that and when you go you can feel an eerie vibe for sure.
Wow, what an unbelievable place. I was overwhelmed by the amazing and incredible graffiti art.
I went during the day and happy I did... lol
I was the only one there and I started to creep myself out. The property is huge and lots of areas to explore.
WEAR Shoes are better than sandals as there is a lot of broken glass and titles.
The men at the gate were very friendly. The one-man says he stays there and will share stories with you. I love the locals they are always so friendly and willing to chat with you.
I paid $2 for a fee and could park my scooter right there. It’s very casual and not a formal ticket booth
Highly recommended during the light.. lol

It was such a cool place to explore. It wasn't scary like we expected. But more like extremely impressed with all the graffiti and buildings. There's an entrance fee 20K IDR and that makes it feel even safer. And there are no people around, so it's a real adventure.

We had Bakso across the park first before entering. There's a guard sitting at the entrance collecting money. Typical! Putting a table there and making money out of smth that he probably didn't even contribute to =.=
Anyways there is a ramp at the right side of the building at the front, we quietly walked up and you will see like a green creature graffiti. Go towards the right and walk straight in, you will come out into an area ahead of the guard. He might still be able to see you so quietly walk towards the left, pass his station then take like a path down and continue exploring.
I guess we were lucky that he was pacing and not just sitting at his table, made it easier to sneak pass him. Anyways there are lots of graffitis/artworks that probably looks nothing related to the amusement park.
Make sure you wear shoes, some part of the ground is wet and disgusting.
Some areas that are not touched by sunlight feels extra creepy.
There was one group of foreigners when we were there, either than that you have the whole place to yourself.
For me if I would have paid the entrance fee, I would have felt that it was not worth it at all no matter how cheap.

This place is incredible! Amazing graffiti and derelict buildings. Great for photography. The graffiti is evolving and much of it is new this year. The old ticket booth has a guy selling actual tickets and the opposite booth was selling cold drinks.
The vibe gets spookier the further in you go!

WARNING! Predatory man posing as tour guide at this site. Attempted to isolate and sexually assault a young woman in our group, pretending to take her to a good photo spot. Luckily our group was near by and intervened. Be vary careful not to let anyone wander off alone when visiting.

Yes. This location is not difficult to enter and the buildings are a beauty of decay, refurbished by various artists with their graffiti or murals. This location is open to the public, after a 20k entrance.

what's the deal with that man made looking mountain in the middle - is there a way up or is it hollow?
Escrita el 22 de noviembre de 2018
I wouldn't go climbing it. It's pretty overgrown and partially hollow. I wouldn't trust it not to collapse!

Has anybody seen crocodiles hear we went and had a good look round but a lot of the arias are overgrown we did see two local men carrying a heavy bag inside but didn't feel safe to follow them thanks
Escrita el 13 de marzo de 2017
No more crocodiles there, they were taken away 6 years by JAAN (Jakarta animal network) after the park went bankrupt and closed its door to the public.
The only "dangerous" wild animals there are... mosquitoes ;))
Escrita el 25 de septiembre de 2017
We did not see any, and the security guard did not mention them. Urban legend is that they were just left behind, and are still there. We read that when they abandoned the park they left the crocodiles there, but later these were rescued and transferred elsewhere.
There is a really swampy looking area, but you would not want to get in there anyway.
