Ziyaret etmeden önce benim çok beklentim yoktu ama çok güzel çıktı. Petrolün aranma aşamalarını, çıkartılma aşamalarını, her aşamasını güzel bir şekilde anlatmışlar. Sizi gezdiren, anlatan personel de oldukça arkadaş canlısı. Teknik konulara meraklı biri iseniz, hoşunuza gidecek bir yer.

We found the 1 hour tour very interesting and enjoyable. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and pleasant. We learned that they were finishing their studies as petroleum engineers, how suitable. The exhibition were state-of-the art and we learned much of the history and process of oil. And some trivia as well, such as 53 hours of oil production can fill the entire Empire State Building. Highly recommended.

Real nice and interesting museum that included lots of interactive information about the cool aspects of oil&gas in Kuwait (how it is originally formed, how it is found, how drilling is done, how oil actualy looks like, what it is used for, how the fires were were handled after the war, etc)

On Monday, Nov. 12th, 2018, my tour guide and I visited the Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil & Gas Exhibition at the Kuwait Oil Company Visitor Center. This site is also known as the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Display Center. This is a free museum run by KOC for the public’s benefit. This museum put a lot of thought into how to educate people about various aspects of the history and engineering design of the oil industry. The museum is both interactive and entertaining. Another impressive aspect of this museum is its discussion of how Saddam Hussein ignited Kuwait’s oil wells to destroy this resource and how Kuwaitis and teams of international scientists and engineers overcame this adversity by eventually putting out these fires. The task appears to have been almost indomitable. Interestingly, the most effective approach was igniting dynamite, which starved the flame of oxygen for enough time to put out the fire. My tour guides were fun, awesome, and answered many questions. I had a ball visiting this museum, and, if the topic interests you, you’ll also enjoy yourself. If I had to do it all over again, I would have taken more photos and video – the material presented was quite fascinating.
