Heard from grab driver on the way to hotel on day 1, then we dropped by a shop nearby on day 2, just because of curiosity. Bought few packs, but then realised price is just crazy, 2 times price of oldtown coffee even compared with SG local price. I would say it is just for the 1st time tourist and never expect for revisiting.

We hired a driver right outside of the cruise terminal. This was one of the stops after visiting a few temples. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the many samples that helped decide which souvenir coffee to purchase as gifts. The prices to me was reasonable and being we were on a cruise with limited time in port we were not at liberty to shop for the best deals for good coffee. The coffee and juice packets we purchased were enjoyed and praised by those that we gifted them too.

They have many coffee flavours but all as instant coffee.
The price is expensive for one pack you have to pay RM45 also the kids candy is so expensive 1 pieces cost RM13.

We were on a grab car to go Komtar mall after our visit to Penang Hill.
The grab car driver mentioned this place sells really good coffee & suggested to take us there without additional charge before driving us to Komtar mall.
I was expecting it to be a place to be old sch coffee shop style but upon arrival, it was a modern looking shop. Those modern looking shop where the tour bus will always bring tour group to visit type.
My husband decided to get 2 packets of coffee (15 sachets per bag) as a gift to our friends who are coffee lover. Before we made the purchase, I was checking on coffee tree reviews on trip advisor and saw some reviews saying this place is overpriced & suggested to get from supermarket.
As we aren't too sure if we would really find them at supermarket, i checked with 2 different staffs seperately if we are able to buy their coffee from eg: supermarket etc, both of them said no. Only their shop sells.
As we thinks their coffee is worth to get for our friends hence we purchased at the store itself for RM45 per packet.
On the same day, we were at Gama supermarket and Pasau Chowrasta (in fact we saw it in 1-2 other provision shop as well) after we visited coffee tree, we saw they were selling at 2 or 3 times cheaper than coffee tree outlet.
We made some purchase at 1 of the store at chowrasta, we asked the owner what is the difference buying coffee tree brand directly from their outlet vs getting from his shop and If they the same. He told us its the same, just that coffee tree outlet itself, they charge more as its for tourists.
To be honest, their coffee tasted really not bad but i am disappointed by the dishonesty of the staffs. And probably the grab driver do get some commission for bringing passengers to coffee tree outlet?

Thank you for visiting our outlet. We would like you to know that we have many ranges of coffee in the market, all manufactured by our factory. We have the Black packet, which is the premium and are sold only in our outlet. We have the White packet, which is the different grade of coffee bean, and the White packet is only sold in our cafe outlet. And then we have the Red packet, and again, of a different range of beans, and they are sold in certain selected supermarkets.
The yellow packet that you have bought at Gama is the most commonly sold, and they are for the supermarket range, only sold at RM11.90 per packet. Just for your information, we have coffee ranging from RM55.00, RM45.00, RM28.00, RM24.00 and RM11.90.
We are sorry that you are confused about the prices, but as the major manufacturer of Penang White Coffee, we try our best to cater to all.

Lots of interesting flavours and you can taste for free. Staff are friendly and helpful. But overpriced, we bought bags for 40-50 ringett, which we felt was reasonable. To find it available in shops and supermarkets for 15-20. I would recommend a visit to taste and see what you like but buy from somewhere else.

My husband and I visited here on 27Aug with our guide who took us around, and I’m so glad I we did! I bought 5 boxes of different specialty teas (got one free) and then got two packs of white coffee and one pack of chocolate!😃
I suffered a bloated stomach, so took one of my teas, and boy has it helped! Definitely recommend visiting!!!

This place is set up to sell coffee mixes to tourists but we still enjoyed it. I’m no fan of 3-in-1 coffee mixes but this firm has really made it interesting. A young lady helped us to taste their many styles - I liked the classic original and the Irish and Tiramisu blends - they’re nice but no match for espresso based coffee. We did buy the Irish blend. Also tasted much of their chocolate and bought some of the dark and milk chocolate covered nuts. There is also tea on offer but we did not taste. There was no hard sell but certainly lots of friendly willingness to help us taste and decide.

Taken here by taxi driver. Huge choice of teas and coffees. Given samples. Clean, well presented premises with nice staff. Touristy but nice stop anyway.
