Platz Am Meer is a modern, clean and well-maintained shopping center with a variety of stores and restaurants. It has a nice play area for kids outside and offers some ocean views as well. However, it is located quite far from the tourist center of Swakopmund. This makes it a very convenient option for locals to do their everyday shopping, rather than for tourists who are looking for unique experiences and souvenirs. Overall, Platz Am Meer is a decent shopping center and a practical place for daily essentials, but it is not a must-visit for tourists.

the scenery is beautiful!! right by the ocean. Not much of a shopping experience as it has few shops. It has some eating places. In general most shops close quite early. If you are going for the scenery you will love it.

The Platz Am Meer mall is small but has all of the required stores, that being, Checkers, Clicks, Truworths and cellphone shops. There are many more stores, they accept South African Rands and will give change in Namibian dollars. The Mugg & Bean is a great way to end the shopping visit as the views from the restaurant are stunning.

The location and view is just awesome, just at the beach, sleeping at the sound of the ocean waves.
Only drawback is there’s nothing in the rooms even basic like tea, coffee or even soap, u have to bring yours

Everything was exceptional - bedding, rooms, view, kitchen utensils but the cleanliness was not up to standard - especially during this covid time.

First emotions - just wow! Luxury house on the beach, falling asleep to the sound of waves. There is a small terrace in front of the house, in warm weather you can take out a table and chairs, and have dinner. On the second floor, one room also has a balcony with a sea view, another room just with a sea view and one in the yard. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, you can cook on the grill. Huge dining room. There is a washing machine and iron. The only salt, pepper, tea, coffee you need to purchase yourself. Bathrooms feature liquid and solid soaps. We spent only two nights in the house, I would like to live in such a house for at least a week. Before checking in, you need to contact by phone number to meet and get the keys, so you need a Namibian number, it may not be convenient if you did not purchase a local SIM card. The house is very large, the views of the sunsets are beautiful. In general, we are delighted.

This place is very close to the shopping mall and two of the main bedrooms overlook the ocean. Beautiful.

Sauber und anonym. In den einzelnen Geschäften war oft Desinteresse zu spüren. Richtig schön ist die Lage und die Aussicht aufs Meer.

We had unit 5B in the Waterfront apartments at Platz Am Meer. What a location, it was awesome with such a great view of the ocean and a short stroll to the Platz Am Meer shopping centre. It was great to hear the waves breaking right on the shoreline.
