This is a very popular place for the locals. It is a shady place with very shallow streams where kids can play inside the water.
Come prepared wearing swimming gear as the waters are very inviting.
I also like the fact that this path leads to famous Longjin green tea plantation so it's killing two birds with a stone.

One way to get to "Jiuxi Yanshu" 九溪烟树 (literally "Nine Creeks in Misty Forest") is by entering "YangMeiLing" 杨梅岭 village gate (Bus#87 2 times an hour on ManJueLong Road 满觉陇路) then go downhill along QianLong Road 乾龙路 for 30 minutes, eventually walking on a tree-lined cobblestone path along the stream. Next to the parking lot, there's a pond and a small waterfall with quite a few visitors even on a weekday - this is where a lot of people park their cars to take photos. Going up some steep steps past the waterfall brings you to a pavilion - no views up here.
Past the restaurant/shop and bathroom towards Longjing Village (famous for Dragon Well tea) brings you to "Jiuxi 18 Streams" 九溪十八澗. This beautiful cobblestone walk along the stream takes less than an hour to reach Longjing Village, with tea plantations on hill slopes and stepping stones to walk across lovely little streams. No cars in this section and it's not very busy with local farmers occasionally selling fruit. Around Longjing Village are many minor sights like small caves and the tea museum - not very impressive but pleasant when not crowded on weekdays.
Another path from "Jiuxi Yanshu" 九溪烟树 is along Jiuxi Road 九溪路, a tree-lined paved road next to the stream with some walking paths passing through tea fields - a little busier here with cars going by. There are restaurants and tea houses halfway as well as a public toilet. It takes just half an hour to reach QianTang River 钱塘江 which is next to a busy road where the bus station "JiuXi Station" 九溪站 is.
Both are very easy walks, nearly flat all the way. There are many boutique inns and guesthouses around here with amazing views of tea fields, especially nice around "YangMeiLing" 杨梅岭 village (where I stayed for 3 nights) and "ManJueLong" 满觉陇 which is filled with hip cafes - many hiking paths around this whole area also. I'm normally not a fan of travelling in China as it can be quite stressful with noisy crowds but this is a lovely getaway... probably best to avoid any Chinese national holidays or weekends though. It's surrounded by nature yet very easy to get a cab here likely because of the close proximity to West Lake.

A great walk in the forest with lots of Long Jin Tea farms. You get to cross 9 creeks (which is Jiuxi means), but they are the minor type so don't expect too much, but beautiful none the less. The only thing to complain is that they only offer one stone bridge (not a full bridge, but stepping stones) per crossing, so very often you have to wait till the other side finish crossing before you can, and you can imagine it gets complicated if there's a crowd.
Other than that, a wonderful path for outdoor walking. It leads you up to a village which you can relax with plenty of tea stops to drink tea, and restaurants.
Highly recommend you go from the bottom up (walking to the village) instead of top down (which has pretty much nothing).
