This place has so much history. The walks, hikes trails are great for you and the family.
You can bring your bike and try the bike trails.
Watch the wild life and visit the old government house or relax and use the bbq facilities for a nice family lunch.
There are plenty of ovals and tennis courts and dog friendly place.

I'm lucky enough to live just down the road from this great place. It is a huge area of land and encompasses natural bushland, open grass areas, riding tracks and areas to have a gathering of several hundred people. If you are into mountain biking, there are some great challenging and easier trails. Or you can take a road bike along the roads, if you don't want to get off the road and into the bush. There are many ovals that have BBQ facilities and some halls where you can have a casual gathering of a few friends up to a huge big company Christmas party (although you have to book through the National Park for bigger gatherings). There are plenty of walking trails and many locals take advantage of these. It is a peaceful, friendly place well with a visit and if you are a local like me, you will find yourself returning again and again.
If you are visiting, there is a caravan and camping ground right next door. The CD of Adelaide is about a 25-30 minute drive 'down the hill' depending upon the time of day and traffic.

Great tracks, wildlife and history. It’s nice to see how the park was used in the early days and still today. You will need to pay if driving in. There is a small car park which is free at the beginning on the main entrance if going up to the Playford lake. If you go to the plant nursery I think it’s free or you get your fee back if you purchase a plant.

Great place for a quiet birding trip just south of Adelaide in the Adelaide Hills area. With a small lake and tall “Eucalypts”, good birds and a few ‘roo’s, koalas can be found here, too.

The park is really nice. We saw a few Koalas whilst wondering around the wooded area. We will definitely go back and walk further into the park.

Lots of spots for a picnic.

Stunning.. one of the smaller Adelaide national parks located just off the main road in the foot hills. Suitable for all the family and a must for toursists. The roads in the park are fantastic smooth and easy driving well signed and easy to tell othees where to meet. Great venue for birthday or event gatherings. Or leave the car get out and walk the well laid out hike paths. Choose out of the many picnic/BBQ areas with clean and well laid out facilities, green space and BBQs to stay play hike kick a ball or just be one with nature and the beautiful foot hills of Adelaide. Keep an eye out for the locals - kangaroos and koala, bird life and pond residents. Stunning to watch the sun light coming through the thick tree branches, photographers playground too. Brilliant idea for bus trips and a mini escape from the city (free enrty for disability/aged care etc.. buses) otherwise a small $12:00 enrty fee for vehicles. Small price to pay for a bit of paradise in the hills.

We enjoy the park but dont like having to pay to go in. It is no longer kept in the condition it deserves due to staffing cuts. We like the plant nursery and usually buy something to avoid the usual park entry fee

The best thing about Belair National Park is how close it is to the city. We visited the park with our friends and the facilities that are available are good .We had our own food and BBQ with us . We were able to see the animals in the wild during our bush walk .
