Very peaceful setting with great views and soaring birds. Tyler was a great host. The wines are excellent. Just driving in through the oak tree canopy was special.

We were a family of nine. Obviously the children could not taste the wines, but the adults DID. We tasted really great wines. I love the French style of wine making here.
Guillaume is a young French man from Bordeaux. He is an extremely talented wine maker. His wines have great depth focussing on balance and fruit with backbone and structure. They are made to live a very long time yet can be enjoyed early as well.
I am fortunate to have discovered the wines a few years ago. Thus I already have many in my collection. I added some more of the current release. I also bought some for my daughter and son in law and my son and daughter in law. All of them have shared prior vintages and loved being at the winery to see and taste where they were made. This is a must visit winery. This is a must collect wines to add to your collections.
Needless to say the environment is beautiful.
They are planning to build a cave dug into the hillside right in the vineyard. To be completed in about 18 months.
Thank you Eugenie for leading such a great tasting.
We tasted the 2021 La Rose, 2020 Hommage Blanc, 2020 Fleur de Solene, 2020 Harmonie and the 2019 Hommage a nos Pairs Reserve. They truly were great.
I highly encourage everyone to come, taste and buy these wines.

Hello, George.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! We are glad you had a great time with us, and that the wines keep pleasing you.
We are very excited for the cave to be built, and are looking forward to have you back at the Estate once it is done!
Take care,
Clos Solène Team

Clos Solene is one of the great wineries in Paso Robles. While relatively new on the scene their wine is top shelf and worthy of the prices. We are members and much of the best stuff they produce requires membership in their club. I anticipate their wines will get better and better as their own vineyards continue to develop and produce more fruit. It is like visiting France when you go to a tasting. Our tasting was led by Camille, a delightful and informative young lady recently transplanted from Bordeaux. As always we got a visit from Guillaume and learned more and more about their wine making and farming progress. They treat you like a member should be treated not just a number.

This boutique winery off the beaten path in Paso Robles is a real find for those who appreciate fine wines made in the French tradition by an experienced winemaker from France. It is an intimate experience and worth the drive out to this secluded tasting room amidst the vines.

First and finest stop on our wine tour. In looking at the winery before visiting, I thought the background story was very interesting, but my interest was not piqued by the wines/grapes that the winemaker had chosen.
This is a lesson in humility and the importance in keeping an open mind (or pallet). Guillaume and Solene are making beautiful, artfully crafted wines. Everything we tasted was brilliant.
This was the highlight of our Paso trip, joined their wine club and look forward to our next visit.

Guillaume the husband, wine maker is an amazing tallent. His wine making skills allow his wines to show off as incredibly balanced wines. Nothing overwhelms anything else. The structure and the fruit marry together in perfect harmony. I love the way he allows the acid to work so well with the fruit. I love the combination of Syrah and Viognier are combined in his Cuvée
Jean. It is so floral and yet the structure and complexity are in perfect harmony.
Judi our wonderful guide through the tasting was so informative. She even made it enjoyable fir my wife. My wife has a terrific palette. She normally sips next to nothing at tastings. She finished all the different tastes and enjoyed them all.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FINDING PERFECTLY MADE WINES, SERIOUS WINES then you MUST come to CLOS SOLENE.
These are certainly some of the best wines in California. They are some of the best wii es in the World.

I got to go here in 2017, just after the property was purchased, and enjoy the delicious wines with the winemaker. Knowing I was getting to go back, I had only the highest expectations. Not only were we seated at a table in the shade with special misters, but our flight list had been personalized to include our names. Ryan, our wine guide/expert, sat with us and told us the history or the wine maker, the winery, and Paso in general. Overall the experience is not to be matched and the exclusivity of the wines forced me to join the wine club. (I was not upset about it). Cannot wait to get a taste of the best in Paso 2x a year.

Clos Solene is hands down my favorite winery in Paso (or on the central coast, for that matter). From the incredible wines (Cuvée Juliette is how we celebrate in our household) to the lovely hospitality, everything is thoughtfully curated. The winery sits on Paso’s famous west side, and it’s not terribly far from the highway, while placing you near many other lovely wineries (in case you’re trying to visit more than one).

I have been a fan of Close Solene since 2013. Guillaume is truly a grower producer with emphasis on quality versus quantity. His style is very unique and I would argue contends with some of the best wines from Rhône or Bordeaux. His craftsmanship and detail to each vintage is evident by the first to last sip of every bottle I have tried from them.
I truly enjoy visiting them and the staff is incredible, from Roxanne to Aurelien, you learn so much about wine. Aurelien I believe assist Guillaume with the wine making process. I have learned so much about Rhône style blends from them.
If you get to meet Guillaume, if he isn’t running around in the vineyards, its an amazing experience. His passion is evident with the way he speaks of his wines. I think this is embedded in his DNA , because I believe his family was also involved in wine. He does everything from planting to finishing the wine in a very unique way that very very few in Paso do.
If you meet the other half, Solene, she makes the best bread ever! I don’t believe its for sale. I have had the privilege of trying it during club events.
To me Close Solene is about family. When you meet Guillaume and Solene you feel the bond of family which makes their wines even more special!
Even during this confinement they are offering virtual wine tasting which are a lot of fun! You purchase the wine and taste it with them from the safety of your own home.
