The theater was refurbished over 10 years ago, and they did a beautiful job. The acoustics are wonderful. Was there for a symphony, and you could hear every detail of the instruments being played. Great welcoming staff, and completely pleasurable experience.

Lovely remnant of early 20th Century Cali. The facade does not give justice to the Spanish-themed interior. Catch a CAMA concert here.

This is a cool old theater near the center of the town. Parking was pretty easy and the building was very cool.

This is one of the old, beautifully preserved historic theatres. Perfectly located in vibrant downtown Santa Barbara with bars, restaraunts, coffee and shopping for before/after all performances. Grand, yet comfortable with modern amenities, we love seeing everything/anything at The Granada. Most don't know they are the home to Santa Barbara's resident ballet company, State Street Ballet! Always something for everyone - add to you "must do" list for SB trips.

Over the decades I had attended various events at this historic location. This month was the first opportunity I had to visit since the 2008 remodel. Absolutely beautiful and comfortable as well. Attended an Arts and Lectures series event hosted by UCSB featuring historian/author Doris Kearns Goodwin. Although we had good seats the enormous drop-down screen made great viewing no mater where your seat was located. The sound was excellent as well. I would not hesitate to attend another performance/event at this location

We went to the Granada theater in Santa Barbara to see le trockadero de Monte Carlo ballet. It was stupendous and the theater is beautiful.

Un teatro dall’edificio che praticamente domina su tutta State street e che abbiamo visto sia in auto che passeggiando.. è carino e ci sono diverse decorazioni sulla facciata, oltre alla classica scritta del nome che, anche se comune a tanti teatri, da sempre quella sensazioni di qualcosa di fantastico ed accattivante.

We were luck to be given two tickets to see La Boheme at the Granada on November 9 while visiting Santa Barbara. I lived in SB for several years while I was a student at UCSB, but never had the opportunity (or money !) to go to the Granada, so this was a real treat. The performance itself was first-class and gripping. The theatre is beautiful inside - very classic and traditional. The seats we had were comfortable (Orchestra seats) and the staff friendly. I am so happy I finally go to see the inside of this lovely SB landmark.

I have gone to the Granada Theatre for all manner of events, both before and after its marvelous renovation sometime ago, and have even spoken there on two occasions. It is always a joy to enter the theatre and find or be ushered to my seat by the kind, poised, and service-minded volunteer attendants. Apart from the mezzanine seating, I've sat in every location – from the very first row and other orchestra locations to the balcony. The optics are classic and it maintains its grand and wonderful feeling, especially when the State Street Ballet is performing.
Of course one typically attends a theatre primarily for the event at hand. Nevertheless, visual and vibrational ambience is important and always contributes to one's overall experience... and the Granada Theatre has never failed to deliver!

I purchased the best tickets available to make this evening a night that would forever be remembered. I took my mother, my wife and my daughter... the three most important women in my life. We had an amazing time! Roni Benise is a flamenco and world class music composer and guitarist. He has been most prominent from 1999 to the present. I first met him on the streets of our beloved city in San Luis Obispo, CA while he played at one of our Farmers Markets. Being a guitarist myself, I absolutely fell in love with his music!
