Top of the Pass Leads to Hiking Trails
ago. de 2021
We travel between Breckenridge and Fairplay some and Hoosier Pass always gives us a nice view of the Breckenridge valley (on the North side) and the Alma/Fairplay valley on the south. A number of hairpin turns coming from Breck but nothing the average driver can't handle. While we've never hiked at the top, the hiking trails at the Hoosier pass summit appear to be very popular!

Absolutely Beautiful Drive
ago. de 2021
We went over the Hoosier Pass with our fly fishing guide to get to our fishing destination. The scenery we drove through was really stunning.

Crossing the Continental Divide
jun. de 2021 • Parejas
Very nice trail head, with great parking and the large sign marking the Continental Divide. We walked a bit and took the picture to mark the elevation; 11,539 feet. No restrooms.

Great views and fairly easy incline
jul. de 2021
Our favorite short hike of the week. We took the trail clockwise up the road first and then down the trail. Great views of the reservoir and surrounding mountains. Mostly open with some trees on the trail going down. Numerous people missed the loop which requires walking across the entire crest. It was very windy at the crest, hang on to your hats. Great views all around.

We saw a Moose!
jul. de 2021 • Familia
Head to the top of the mountain to find this amazing trail! Hoosier Pass was a must see for these Indiana Hoosiers and despite the rain we loved every step of our experience. The views are breathtaking and the wildlife was exactly what we were hoping to find! Our very first Moose Sighting happened by chance but left us in awe of these magnificent creatures!

Gorgeous views!
jul. de 2021
Absolutely gorgeous views from this trail. It's doable for most people; if having altitude issues just stop and rest when you need to. We were glad to have brought water and a light jacket. We went in the late afternoon and passed only a few people on the trail - for most of the hike we had the mountains all to ourselves!

Awesome hike for the family
jun. de 2021
Wonderful hike for the family. Took us about 2 hours and the views were amazing. Still some snow along the path and it get a little steep when you get to the top, nut well worth it. Be prepared for some wind. Kids loved it.

Loved the trail
oct. de 2020
The only reason we didn't rank this place as excellent is because the trails are not marked very well. It can be very confusing unless you know where you are going. I had researched on Trip Advisor about the loop trail at the top of Hoosier Pass and was still confused. The trail is absolutely beautiful and was the highlight of our day. We did the loop from Breckenridge, Hoosier Pass, Alma, Fairplay, Como, Boreass Pass back to Breckenridge. Was a wonderful trip and highly recommend it. Don't forget to layer and expect the unexpected. It was sunny and a slight chance of rain in the afternoon. It began to snow on us early morning. Be prepared and take water and snacks.

Had my 2 y/o so didn’t get to the top but was still able to see Views. Smoke from the fires was noticeable but this would be great when it clears up! It’s gravel road and you walk uphill the entire way, not overly steep but you get a work out.

Morning hike
ago. de 2020 • Parejas
Beautiful views once you get on the trail. The trail is about 2.5 miles. Everyone suggests that you hike the loop counterclockwise go up past the gate on the right and follow the gravel road. If you just want a great view follow gravel rod to the left. When you can see the whole of blur lake and the dam go a couple of hundred yards and it seems like you can see the whole world!
