This park is awesome, right on the river and beautiful drive thru the woods. Sports areas available. Water areas/sports.

I could sit out here for hours 🥰 there is natural nature, just a good place. Kids would love it, at least mine would. There are ducks, and deer. And it’s clean !

I LOVE Lowell park. So local, and fun. You can go there whenever. (Although I would HIGHLY recommend not going at night!) The place is great if you have kids, so they can explore, and it’s also a great place for a date. Take your S.O. to see the beauty that this park holds. If you have teenagers, let them bring a friend and hike the trails. (I would recommend using the buddy system though. If you have a baby and you don’t want to bring them in the trail, let your teen bring a friend to hike trails.) Overall a 5 star rating!

There are two one-way loops for cars which are curving around trees from the top of the part through ravines down to the river. And than there is another main drive strit down to the river (two-way). Down at the river very lovely view of the river. I wish the nature center was open but because of pendemia it wasn't. In ddition to driving loops there are loops for hikers.

Many stone shelters for picnics. Boat ramp and dock on the Rock river. Nice roads for biking. Very likely going to see deer.

They have plenty of room to walk, and enjoy the river. They need a park area for toddler or smaller children. My two year old still enjoyed the area but would have been better if they had a tot slide.

This is a park on the northeast corner of Dixon. It has several hiking trails that are excellent and you will probably see some sort of wildlife....deer, small wild animals and many birds. There is an eagles nest near the river at the top of a tall evergreen, near the frisbee golf. We love taking the dog here. Very nice place to visit, we go very often.

We drove around and couldn’t find the statue of Ronald Regan as a lifeguard. I will say though, we sat on a bench swing and watched the Rock River for a while, and it was evident that Ronald Reagan saved 77 lives, because who in their right mind would actually get into that river. The undertow has to be horrendous. Still a beautiful, peaceful place. Just make sure you ask someone how to get to the statue!

We enjoyed our time at the Lowell Park Nature Center. Yowl the Great Horned Owl was fun to see as was the section for children's nature education. Our grandsons would love this place!

A beautiful park that is kept clean and well maintained. You can take in a lot of the sights by just driving through the park and enjoying the beauty. If you have more time to spare, then there are multiple locations that you can park and hike on various paths/trails to see the local flora and fauna. There's even some beach areas where you can enjoy the water views.
If you are a nature lover and in the area, then I highly recommend this park as a place to visit. Even if you aren't overly into nature, I'd still recommend this park even if it's just for some peace and quiet away from the towns and cities and other general hustle and bustle of people.
