Stopped in for a taste. It’s a fun little place. Smells hoppy, tons of board games, music, mix of people. Had a flight of beer..6 of them. Very flavorful. Porter is a favorite of mine snd the flavor was good but kind of fell at the end into a watery finish…I find it happening a lot with them lately.

A hidden gem in Everett. Nice variety of excellent beers on tab, great attentive and friendly service as well as some great finger food. Try the empanada!!
On top of all that their cleaning, tables and chairs, should be an example for many establishments!!!

I had always seen the little brewery & was always interested in what they serve. I was look for a new favorite IPA & lo and behold the wasted life taste smooth but really packs a punch. They have a wonderful theme & have a good community. I love bone up.

This is a very cozy place to spend some time and enjoy great beer. The art is neat and we enjoyed playing games. The price for a small cheese plate for what you get is ridiculous. Otherwise we really liked this place.

According to their own site, Bone Up is the smallest brewery in the Boston area. I believe it. It is small, but there is ample seating nonetheless. Most importantly, the beer is excellent in terms of both selection and quality. There is a wide range of styles and ABV, so friends with polar opposite tastes can have an equally great experience. I tried the Joybringer which was so delicious I got another. I also tried my friend's Dr. Frankenstein which was also delicious.
Our visit was an impromptu one, having gone for Short Path and Night Shift. Despite having been to Night Shift several times I'd never heard of Bone Up and didn't realize it was just a few hundred yards down the street. We only discovered it as we looked for parking for Night Shift and decided to check it out later during a Night Shift break, which we did. A Short Path-Night Shift-Bone Up excursion definitely makes for an excellent hop.

I've been going to Bone Up almost since they opened in 2016. Was with a friend on a little beer tour of our own, and Night Shift's staffers mentioned they "had some friends just down the street" we should check out. And so, quietly, I began a patronage which has become about weekly. I've been there literally dozens of times, so this very positive and loving review is long overdue.
The beer has only gotten better as Jared and Liz have honed their craft, upgraded equipment, and expanded capacity -- rapidly on all counts. The taproom has also nearly doubled in size. The beer tends to have a Belgian flare, but take special note of their mild darks, browns, and their smoothies (blends of hops; magical). Another brewing area they've really shined in is making some higher ABV stuff, and of course the barrel-aging/cellaring programs have been spectacular.
One of the best parts of Bone Up is the atmosphere. It's a very low-key place, and a very comfortable bar. The art on the walls is original and fun, the snack list is nothing shy of flawless (Cheez-Its. Are. VICTORY!), and the partnership with Brato, Alex's Ugly Sauce, and others has made for some great food/beer combinations. Trivia has become a big fun thing, with several varieties/flavors/specificities thereof, along with the occasional ridiculous party/special event. I'm aware of at least a couple groups that meet to hang out and play board games once a month or so.
You probably won't find a friendlier brewery, and you're missing out on a lot of fun if you skip this place in your travels. If it sweetens the pot: it's right near Night Shift, Short Path (local distillery), Idle Hands, Mystic, Down the Road, American Fresh (Somerville Brewing), and Winter Hill Brewing -- as well as Mystic Station, who have lots of stuff on tap.

I was so glad to walk into a brewery and not see 12 IPAs on a menu! Bone Up has a great variety of beer styles that are sure to please everyone in your group! We came here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon and brought some sandwiches since Bone Up only provides some chips/snack type food. They do have soft pretzels and hot dogs, but we wanted a bit more.
You are able to do a flight of their beers as well as take home crowlers or growlers (as long as the growler does not have any other brewery's logos on it.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and joked around with us. There are a lot of board games, a pin ball machine as well as a traditional arcade game set up as well. This was helpful since our friends brought their 2 year old son who had a lot of fun playing with the different games. When the weather is warmer, you are able to sit outside on their patio with your beer and dog!

I was recently here for a quick visit. Came in because I thought the name and logo were clever and I have to say the vibe inside was really good. They had a great smell of beer and food and everyone was very friendly. The beer variety was very good, not just an all IPA location. It is certainly busy, but also less wait than some of the breweries within walking distance. It is very pet friendly and on a nice day does have some good seating outside. Overall I think it was a nice visit and I look forward to going back and trying out more beers when I have time.

This is one of the breweries that make up the self proclaimed "Fermentation District" as there is the Nightshift Brewery and the Short Path Distillery within a block of each other. The beer at Bone Up is pretty good. They do not rely on 18 varieties of hops for each beer as many small breweries are doing right now, but they have a good variety of stouts and lagers and Pilsners at any one time. It is a chill environment and rather small. All ages are welcome to hang as they have sparkling non-alcoholic drinks for kiddos.

Stayed near the brewery for a flight out of Logan the next day. Stopped in for a flight. Flavors were good the staff wasn’t overly informative.
