Having been to Do Temple four times, I can't help coming over this place every Tet holiday. Not only me but also my family members and my foreigners who come from Japan, Taiwan, America, England, Australia said that it is an awesome place with picturesque and poetic landscape. Everyone feel relaxed when walking around and enjoying this peaceful place. Don't forget to stop over this place when you visit Hanoi. It's only about 25 kilometres from the center of Hanoi. Definitely you won't want to leave it.

It is in TU SON? exactly mi-way between Hnaoi and Bac Ninh, whih is 30 km north of Hnaoi on Route 1 Hanoi-Langson. The whole province is a mine of historical site because it is the cradle of the Viet race. In the middle of Tu Son, turn right at the round-about (there is a large pannel "Den Do temple") and then right before another round-about (no pannel)

Called Den Do, the temple, revered by the Viet, was built in 1028 at the death of one of the best king of Vietnam, Ly Thai Tho (973-1028), founder of the great Ly Dynasty. The main structure includes a statue of each of the 6 Ly kings. On the lake facing it, the small Thuy Dinh pagoda is used for water puppet shows and elaborate songs called Quan Ho, developed in Bac Ninh and so unique that it is part of the Unesco Cultural heritage since 2009.

It's very honorable that they have conserved almost value here. You can learn much about 8 Kings of Ly dynasty via books and stories.

This gateway and temple are beautiful and not another tourist in sight when we visited. Along, the pathway is an avenue of trees with Aqua plaques purchased by politicians to bring them luck. The temple is well maintained and the gateway has a beautiful mural. Inside huge incense burners and statues grace the entrance to the temple. This temple continued our further historical education about Vietnam with the Ly dynasty. We had a guide to explain the history, as there are no other details on site to explain the importance of this temple. The lineage held on for over 200 years and I'm amazed the that French colonisation didn't end it. There is a wonderful lake at the entrance to the temple. This temple was not has busy as the Hoa Lu in Ninh Binh, and gave a chance to take some clear photos with family. A very beautiful temple well worth the visit.
